How this Man Utd team is going to probably win the league again is beyond me....
Hats off I guess
If we win every game from now til the end of the season and draw against City then we equal the record set by Chelsea. We've scored more goals than anyone else too. It's not too bad, it's just not as full of flair as in the past, but we're pretty solid.
howard webb, nice little conversation with evra and then calling scholes, paul. yep, always knew he was up uniteds back passage.
Never watched any other teams play? Referee's call Gerrard "Stevie", Terry "John" and Lampard "Frankie", only yesterday Perch was called "Perchie", so it's a ridiculous comment.
That's always going to be the problem with Valencia, he's so one footed. When he runs inside he just doesn't look that dangerous compared to Nani and to a lesser extent Young.
Gentle start so far, controlling possession but lacking ideas going forwards, it's all going down the right and Blackburn look comfortable at the moment.
Giggs has made a career out of being one footed. The key is to be good with it, Valencia is an honest to god virtuoso.
and again.
de gea been best keeper this 2nd half of the season.
I agree entirely, though over the full season I'd still say Krul.
I'm amazed Blackburn haven't been tighter on Valencia, stick a man within a metre or two of him all night and that's our entire strategy neutralised.
Knowing to cut someone out and doing it are two different things.
Is it me or does Valencia seem reluctant to take his man on? Several times he's decided to try and cross it straight away. For god sake, take him on son!
Because Valencia's pace over 3 yards is one of the best in the league, Valencia wants people to come tight, then he'll flick it past and cross it, that's why he's so successful. We've gone seasons with Nani holding on, trying to beat someone then drilling a cross into the first man because he didn't cross it quick enough. Actually getting a cross in puts a chance at hand.
disallowed for off side? if so then that was extremely tight
It was almost 2 foot out of play when the cross came in.
What a TOEY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Loki! <3
Buzzing right now, fantastic performance complete and utter dominance throughout and deserving winners on the night. Credit to Blackburn they were hard to break down and looked a threat at the other end but overall were clearly second best.
Wouldn't necessarily say it was fantastic, we struggled to break them down and continued to be predictable in our approach to attacks. The lack of efforts from us was worrying, Robinson had almost nothing to do (and couldn't do anything about the two that went in), and the fact remains that once again De Gea is the reason we're taking points out of a game by making excellent saves.
Rafael has been good again tonight, very good at winning the ball from the Olsen brothers and has supported Valencia very well.
Rafael when playing with Valencia is incredible, he gets support, seldom gets out run and comes forward with aplomb, he's also a cracking little passer. With Nani he can't play one two's, doesn't receive overlaps and never gets defensive aid and has two men running at him. Massive difference, and as a result he often gets over 100 touches a match (as I mentioned earlier)
Flinging in crosses is hardly opening them up. Until the goal they were mostly comfortable. You could argue they had come closer to scoring.
The issue wasn't the crosses, at least 75% of the crosses were actually VERY good, but no one looked interested in getting into the box to attack them. There's nothing else he could do, in the end the inability of other players in attack for us led him to take matters into his own hands as only he at United could.
That's why he's the most dangerous assist player in the league.
