Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [30th September - 2nd October 2016]

Maybe it will turn out both have the same agent as Moyes if you know what I'm saying.

;)

I see what you are saying, but I still think if Moyes had a full pre-season with the squad, a chance to properly assess and find the right players they might have had a better start. But to be fair, Sunderland have been on a downward spiral for a good few seasons now and September is traditionally a shocker for them.

...and this time, Moyes won't be sacked as he's just been appointed. The timing of Allardyce's departure was bad news for them, players leaving with no replacements, no time for Moyes to get any players in, desperation signings (Anichebe), low morale.

Does not look good for Sunderland at all.

They've got quite a few injuries i think, i recall seeing something like they've got the most in the PL at the moment, i know Borini, Larsson, Manone and Catermole are all injured, 4 key players they haven't had available. It's going to be a relegation scrap though, it's not going to be easy for them.

Nice goal from Payet......but.....

What a waste of £27mill it was on Schneiderlin, surely he'll want to leave in Jan?

It's good to see Herrera being given a chance, hopefully he gets a good run of games. LvG seemed to hate him.

Only one defensive sub?

You have to give credit to Mourinho for dropping him.

He's had pressure from pundits and past players to keep playing him but he's done the right thing.

Shocking that such an iconic player of the game has been dropped so fast. Not his fault he was being paired with French Carlton Palmer and the One Armed Man. Shocking behaviour from club and manager. Rooney, Rooney, Rooney! :(

Back to the Fergie days of no player being bigger than the team/manager!

Now bring on the treble! :o ;)
