Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [4th April - 8th April 2014]

If Everton get into the champions league and man united don't ( which lets face it, they are not), Moyes's name will be mud...and rightly so.

Then you haven't got the ball.

In fairness looking at the replays of the Flanno one, it may have been a pen. The keeper didn't get the ball as far away as I expected. But in general, if you win the ball and then take the player out its a good tackle.

What the hell? He touched the ball as much as anyone having the ball knocked past them, he didn't send it the other way, or to the side, it went directly behind him and he grabbed/hit down on Flanno's leg, stop trying to be impartial, its a bloody penalty

In general that is right, if its follow through, not taking an inactive arm and grabbing a leg/hitting down on it, that is a foul no matter what -_-

Hes a bloody Liverpool fan!

I don't know if he is trying to be super unbiased or something but its a stonewall penalty 0.o

Haha!

As said above, looking at the Flanno one it may well be a penalty and I've got it wrong.

^^ you've not read what that post said, it said it may well have been a pen!

Good 3 points that, bit sure why folks seem to think the 2nd one is debatable? Touched the ball (barely, not changing the direction) and then hauled Flanno down.... Bonkers

I don't miss Bottler or Carroll. Both are utter garbage, Carroll more so than Bottler. Really hope Lambert gets picked ahead of him for the World Cup.

I'd take Carroll ahead of Lambert and not because I necessarily think he's better though. Neither are going to be starters or even one of the first few changes. The only time you'll be looking to either is to massively change things up or as a desperate impact sub and Carroll offers something different.

You can stick Carroll up front and lump it to him if we're struggling to get into a game. Lambert will just fill in for Sturridge, Rooney or Welbeck and won't be as good.

I'd take Carroll. He's the only striker that can truly change the dynamic of the game available in my opinion. One corner could be all we need should it come to it.

:D
Perfect sub that, calmness personified and should have had an assist and a cracking ball for the pen :)
Thought Rodgers should change things at half time to stop them attacking the flanks but didn't expect him to change it immediately and didn't expect Lucas to come on instead of Allen. Fantastic decision by our manager and performance from Lucas

Not really. It's just our home form that has let us down and Everloan will be back down once their loan signings have gone.

Haha, bitter much? I hope Moyes stays at your club for 11 years. He's a PE teacher with a UEFA licence.

Just got back from the Everton game. Best match I've watched in ages. Coleman running down the line doing keepy-uppies was priceless. :D
