Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [5 - 6th October 2013]

Well that's 3 points but not exactly a convincing win against the worst form team in the league, Sunderland could have been 2-3 goals up in the first half.

Why isn't Hernandez playing after being the only reason (bar enrique) someone scored in that game vs us, considering how many near chances united have had he finishes a lot of those.

Let's not get carried away. We've still been really poor. We've created maybe one good chance (the second goal being a piece of individual skill out of practically nothing) and if Sunderland could finish we'd have been 3 down and probably out. It's good to get a win but there are still a lot of problems all over the pitch.

Valencia looks so gay when he has his arms out on his waist lol.

Unlucky Sunderland, should have had at least 3 goals in the first half.

Good to win. Not a great performance by any stretch of the imagination but we looked more like the team of last season since getting the equaliser.

Januzaj did very well overall and took both goals superbly well, but we shouldn't have to rely on him and I don't want the press going crazy. :p

In fairness to Sunderland they played quite well at times, their 1 point so far isn't really reflective of the quality they have.

Still major improvements needed but we looked a lot more comfortable after scoring and seemingly remembered how to pass again.

spot on

Manchester United manager David Moyes: "I thought we played well with the exception of the opening five or 10 minutes. I am pleased we have won, I am not going to get too excited. At the moment we scored, we needed it but I wasn't getting too low. I thought it was exciting and I enjoyed it today."

Hmm.

Sunderland are showing they have the quality and drive to stay up though. They look far better now than a month ago.

Their opponents today are light years from where they want to be, and 60% of that is not the fault of Moyes.
