Yeah bad timing, took the shine off the first half but still think we will win if we play like we did in the first half.

Everton were poor in midfield for large parts of the first half. Poor in defence too (particularly at left back). Looked dangerous going forward at times though.

Newcastle getting a lot of decisions. Everton not getting their equivalents. And I'm sure the referee gave Drenthe a knowing smile when he gave one free kick to Newcastle.

Everton have shown some of what they can do, but sloppy mistakes and passes have let Newcastle in to the game.
 
Shame we conceded just before the break but pleased with the result so far.

Just hope the don't get another in the second half. I think an early goal for us could put this one to bed.
 
Unchanged team for Liverpool which means another anonymous display from Henderson but a pretty reliable looking back four. Don't think Downing has done anything worth keeping his place ahead of Kuyt, Bellamy or Maxi either. He's been nearly as pointless as Henderson in the last few games.
