So i stress why Lambert again? We gone from under used to over used and he is dead on his feet all ready, Sterling,Countinho,Lallana all quickish players so id give borini the shot its still annoying he isnt even on the bench so no recognized striker at all to come on if Lambert has an off day.

Least Gerrard came come on later if needed which is how he should be getting used :)

We need a striker, we saw Raheem lead the line against Madrid and it was ****ing garbage. I expect Borini isn't fit or something has happened, Lambert still the best option. Haven't wathed much of Sunderland this year, will be interesting to see if we miss Allen's defensive work

It's been an excellent performance as a team against a very good side even if CHelsea haven't been at their best. Regardless of the outcome, even if they lost 4-2, it would have been a good performance. Same way Southampton lost 3-0 against City but was still a good performance, they played good football just the better team won and, you know, Aguero :p
 
Wait, 6 minutes, a red card which for a red card was actually very quick, 2 goals, the subs but, there hasn't been much else. One half injury that didn't have physio come on, 6 minutes sounds like utter crap to me.
 
GAH frustrating but fair play to newcastle they deserved it. We have got to sort it out and start adapting our game when teams sit back as that's two weeks in a row that we've looked completely devoid of ideas.

At least this invincible crap will stop now, sick of hearing it every time we have a game.
 
Still think Chelsea's team can be far far stronger with the right buying. I'm not a fan of Schurrle, but as back up maybe not too bad. Willian is too inconsistent, Ramires is just crap and Oscar isn't good enough to be starting games, he doesn't get enough goals or assists to be a starting no.10 and too many games he's completely anonymous. They really need someone similar to Lampard/Fabregas, helpful defensively, great offensively and can play alongside Matic or the no.10 role.

Costa didn't do much today but I can't really remember a single great pass in to him to give him even a chance to look good.

Oh, Mikel obviously as well, how he's lasted so long there and for a lot of it as first team I don't know. Matic is so many levels ahead of Mikel it's a joke, not at all surprising they looked less solid defensively and he provides a lot of good forward passing and the occasional drive forwards.


Newcastle played a very solid game and did well on the break. While they sat stupid deep after the red card they didn't go into absolute ultra panic mode particularly after conceding straight away, so often the defence utterly crumbles at that point with everyone forgetting what they are supposed to be doing.
