Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [6 - 8th April 2013]

Woot Arsenal win 2-1 and are now in the top 4, over to you Chelsea and Spuds...will be interesting to see how Spuds do without Bale tommorrow.

Good win for us but dear god the less defensive mistakes we make the better for my heart:p

For Lowton's standard that's goal of the century but I'd be surprised if better goals haven't been scored? The timing of the goal is up there with the best though :D

I think we will do it. Always seem to hit form when the pressure for 4th is on.

We seemed to have hit great form since we beat the almighty Bayern a few weeks ago at their home ground...since then we have looked much better although defensively we still look suspect and having Mert go off today, didnt help the nerves at all.

But still hello 4th place, oh how i have missed you:p.

Now just need Sunderland to do over Chelsea and Everton to beat Spurs and it will be a great weekend.

we'll see if he makes it into your team of the season when you do the thread. would vidic make it into yours?

So by that you're refusing to explain why he's the best then? Somewhat hypocritical that you're moaning at others for not explaining why he's not don't you think?

In answer to your question no neither Vertonghen or Vidic would be in my team of the season

Ruddy lucky today, Mert could well have gone for the elbow earlier in the half and given them a penalty, though he wouldn't of been on to give away another penalty, just West Brom would have had longer with the extra man. Mert also did that terrible back pass to Kos. Why they didn't start Lukaku, no idea, he creates so many problems for defences.

Villa, well, stunning goal and I love seeing Stoke get beaten so great result. Villa aren't nearly as bad as some make out, one of their biggest issues seems to be fitness more than anything else, this season they have one of the worst if not the worst second half record and a pretty decent first half record, team of youngsters and cheap replacements for all that left generally does lead to late second half collapses. Southampton, great result for them, Swansea continue their "we've got a cup, wtf else is there to do" form.

Brentford, well picking up points away is still decent and there will be weeks Brentford win at home and the other guys have tougher away games and drop points, but not a great week for them.
