As an outsider i thought Leicester would walk it. Emery is a smokescreen imo...is he good enough for Arsenal? maybe...maybe not but the signing for a few windows have been just poor. Pepe at 70 million when your midfield and defence is as it is, is absolutely insane.


Who's signing these players? Did Emery sign Pepe?
 
I think that the head of football Raul Sanllehi is responsible for signings, but not 100% sure. Edu seems to have got the credit for signing Martinelli.

Unai is not good enough, he has actually taken us backwards. The players never seem motivated anymore.

They have some better players. Soyuncu, Chilwell, Pereira, Ndidi, Maddison and Vardy....possibly Tielemans. Would take all those over the Arsenal equivalents. Schmeichel and Leno are probably both similar averageness.

Well to be fair Laca was injured for a fair while but hey not that makes a blind bit of difference to other fans eh?? ;).

Is he better than Auba?? Based on this season?? Yeh he is but it seems like Auba isn’t getting the service he needs or he’s just thinking **** this **** and not putting much of an effort in now. Don’t blame him when you have an utterly clueless manager at the helm who can’t even get the most basic of tactics right.


Heard rumours that Xhaka may never play for Arsenal again. Seems like since that incident, something just isn’t right in the dressing room anymore. From what I’ve seen it doesn’t look like the players want to play for Emery....reminds me of his turbulent time at PSG before he jumped over to us.

Based on this season he is better than every goal scorer in premiership so far. Based on consistency and games to goals, no where close. Based on last complete season no again.

With this logic he is better than Aguero, Mane, Kane, Salam... I know who I would prefer.

Will he finish top scorer, doubt it.

Each to their own I guess.

Vardy has averaged a goal every 2 games in the league over the last 6 seasons playing for Leicester, who apart from this season and the title winning season have been bang average. So I don't think his consistency and games to goals can really be questioned.

You can make a case for any of the players you mention, including vardy, being the best striker in the league.

It's not surprising that many people would choose him over aubameyang, particularly if you're building a team out of Leicester and arsenal players, where let's face it, the rest of the team will be Leicester players as well.
