Fred with a defence splitting pass...
He's been quietly playing well lately, been superb today.
Fred with a defence splitting pass...
Not high enough?Wasn't considered high enough.
Not high enough?Intent plays no part in the decision either - it's simply a case of whether he's endagered the opponent. Studs straight into the ribs could have very easily been a red card.
Whether we think it should be the case or not, intent doesn't matter when the ref makes his decision. That's not my opinion, that's simply the laws of the game. An no, not every player that goes for a high ball with their foot should be a red card if there's contact. It is possible to raise your foot with minimal force that doesn't endanger the opponent. Had Williams ended up toe poking the Brighton player in the chest then of course it wouldn't be a red but when you challenge as he did, with a fair amount of force, you're right on the limit of getting sent off.Of course it does. If you get fouled, chase a player down and hack them from behind its very different to a mistimed or accidental slip that fouls a player. If you're talking about height then every time a player goes for a high ball with their foot it should be a red if there is contact right?
Dear god we should be about 6-1 up
Looks like he went over his ankle , would explain the agonyThat injury to McTominay is bizarre!?
