Well played City, deserves to win it and I think this was probably vital in the title race.
 
Very disappointing, I'm still waiting to see how our full strength side fares against another top side, but we seem to get a lot of injuries or in this case, daft suspensions.

Did you even watch the game? Lukaku gave the ball away uncontested, how is that exposing us at set pieces? That's just Lukaku being poor. Possession means nothing, it doesn't mean they were in control at all. Just like Arsenal weren't in control last week.

How many teams have fielded a full strength side in a big game this year? The idea of having that much money is that you don't rely on just having the one good first team but rather a good squad?
 
Jose simply has no answer for when Pogba is out/injured. We have been totally lost in mid field today. Deserved win by City plus I think mentally Jose cannot beat Pep anymore. I guess that is also the league all wrapped up now and it isn't even Christmas.

I agree, but that doesn't change the situation.
 
Negatives...

Lukaku can do one, he's just not very good really is he? Scupper the only shots he seems to score normally, must have taken offence to Ederson's huge neck tattoo or something.
Herrera makes my blood boil and I'm a Utd fan. Diving is bad enough, but his play acting is extraordinary.

We seem lifeless without Pogba and Bailly.

On the positive side, Lindelof seems to be getting more confident at least... :D and De Gea being De Gea.

I actually agree re: Herrera, not sure what he's meant to be doing either.
 
Lukaku is a good striker against poor teams. Which is something we needed after all the games we failed to kill off last year.


The problem is good teams need to be able to beat other good teams, and Lukaku is just crap in those games. We would have been better off with him not playing today and sticking Rashford or Martial up front.
