Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [9th - 11th May 2015]

There are players like Varane or D.Luiz who command huge transfer fees.
Then you have players like J.Terry who just get the job done.
I'm a great admirer of J.Terry and I wish we had a player like him at Man Utd.

What is awe-inpsiring is that Chelsea are 13 points ahead in the league table - thats crushing whichever way you look at it.

Had trials at Utd but turned a contract down

Whats the point of that post? I can't figure out if its, he has a different style or not moved club or talked about moving for massive amounts of money 0.o, entirely different situations for those players

Should still be playing for England if you ask me.

Assuming you didn't have an owl as manager who would be the defence+midfield you'd take for England?

Depends who we were playing. But the back 4 for me would be;

Clyne, Terry, Cahill, Baines.

Thats speaks volumes about the lack of quality we have coming through.

We have worryingly few decent centre halves coming through. Terry isn't even that old, still our best centre half. When you consider he plays week in, week out with arguably our second best centre half, would be a no brainer to have them two as our central defence.
