Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [Sunday 13th May 2012]

Man Utd fans can hardly complain about plastics (same goes for any big club) - they make up an enormous part of your revenue.

Fairly sure we won't beat WBA. Hoping Spurs drop points too. Battle of the retards

I can genuinely say I am not fussed either way. If we win great. If we loose, obviously disappointed but again three games in the last twelve months shown where we needed to strengthen the squad and we didn't. Champions League final at Wembley & City Home & Away. City have a stronger team player for player and that's a fact.

What grates is how they have gone about winning it and their sense of entitlement because of their money. City remind me of that Michael Carroll who the lottery. Little class and really don't give a **** about what consequences their actions have in their greedy pursuit of success. They play Lech Poznan at home in a Europa Tie and give it 'What the ******* Hell was that' two weeks later they have their own Poznan. Everything about them is plastic, contrived and false

The only saving grace I take if they win the league is that I have quite a few mates on FB who are going on about we lost the league blah blah blah and that seems to be the flavour of the day. It comes to something when their is more talk about us loosing the league than City winning it.

Calling Man City plastic is a bit rich

it is a bit rich. city do go about some things the right way, it is worth looking into the development they ploughed into the area.

the owner is using them as a marketing tool and not in a bad way tbh, even if he is chucking money at it, rather he chucked money into this country than another tbh.

with the above said though, the poznan is cringeworthy, as was the playing of blue moon before the derby the other week.

a lot of united fans showed how plastic they were last weekend when they didn't stick around for ferguson's speach. i'm sure they'll be the first ones donning their shirts and shouting u-n-i-t-e-d should they win the title on sunday though.

Saw that, was funny when the Swansea fans sang "is there a fire drill"

How man teams have won the EPL? 4, Blackburn and Chelsea had to pump in a lot of money to win it from Man Utd, the other team to win it Arsenal, well they have not won it for 8 years, Man Utd spent money to get players in the 90s and the team was helped with a crop of brilliant young players.

Especially considering how poor West Brom has been at home

Hodgon's last game in charge so I can see them getting good support from the crowd though.

RVP needs 1 more to break the record for most Premiership goals by an Arsenal player in a single season, currently level on 30 with Henry.

\o/ Got the beers in for a 7am start to watch the games roll in, should be an epic start to the day, probably pass out by 11am lol :p

Some great games and so hard to predict, I think both City and United will win but all of Arsenal, Spurs and Newcastle have very tough games to call

Rich you do know it's tomorrow don't you

Dont worry, I think even Purdy said in Tom's g/k thread that "I expect Hart to win the league TODAY" :D

Its catching lol

Yeah I rushed to get showered at 2 to be ready for the game, got on the pc and wondered why the hell there was no talk about it, my bad :p

Haha yes! I remembered to check that would have been lolworthy :p Nothing wrong with getting beers ready early though! :D

So where will the Premier League trophy be tomorrow then?

Obviously tomorrow is the decider, will they have to transport it from a neutral place?

I think they'll just sit with it near Manchester, then see what happens. Citeh'll bang a few in early and the suits can all chill... or it'll be squeaky bum time 'til the end, and the suits'll be like, 'GET TO DA CHOPPAH'.

Or they will have replicas at each venue :p

Bit dissapointed that the Stoke Bolton match isnt on today, I'm sure in previous seasons that they have put three matches on, two on the normal channels and another one on the red button. I know the majority will be watching the Manchester matches but I'd have thought if they were able to put the Stoke-Bolton match then they would have all bases covered with regards to the title and the relegation battle.

Liverpool team apparently:

Doni, Johnson, Carragher, Agger, Kelly, Maxi, Shelvey, Henderson, Downing, Suarez & Carroll.

No idea where Reina or Gerrard are but Skrtel's had surgery so hasn't travelled.

I guess Reina's sitting out so that we can give Doni a game now there's nothing to play for. I don't think anything has been confirmed but it looks like Gerrard has been carrying a slight injury for a few weeks.

edit: Team above is confirmed. Gerrard and Skrtel are out with slight knocks and Reina's ill:
