Let's start a constructive climate change riot...

Limit every household to one motorbike/car/van/lorry.

Others who cannot practicably get a lift with vehicle driver have to find alternative transport arrangements for the day such as public transport; e-bike/scooter; bike; walk.

You should rock up with a big Mac meal and proudly eat it, proclaiming that you're a carnivore and proud, then try and convert all the vegans to eat meat.

I can tell you of the 30 or more people coming from my nieces family there is only one who is vegan and that's my eldest.
Some of my family members aren't happy at all and comparing it to being forced to smoke.

Everyone can help.

How?

Plant trees! As many as you can. The field is empty and waiting for new trees.

Use as low amounts of energy as possible - no power hungry computers, no power hungry lighting, no power hungry dish washers, washing machines, refrigerators, etc.
Don't travel if not critical, no vacations to the other side of the Earth on pollution airplanes.
Planting trees releases carbon trapped in the ground. It is a good thing to do but it should be a considered activity.

You think forcing every house to own 4 vehicles will reduce carbon?

I don't even need a van or lorry :confused::o

They won't be planted by IKEA. How did it come to your mind, at all?
not sure if it was a rhetorical question (smile), but there have been several programs about ikea illegal logging
eg. https://www.nbcnews.com/science/env...llegal-logging-forests-crucial-earth-n1273745
so if they are supposedly offsetting their carbon by planting trees thats not the case.

Also despite ikea discourse about returning/recycling your old furniture - it would be better to fork out for long lasting/robust furniture instead - chair for life

Since when did a series of items with a backslash between each of them mean anything other than choosing one of those items?:p:confused:
You used a forward slash not a back slash - however apparently forward slash does mean "or" and backslash doesn't mean anything.

Thanks for the free education

Try living outside of a city and use public transport to get to and from work

Stop people from updating phones and computers until they are broken.

Stop fast fashion everyone to be given the same outfit to wear. No one needs to have a different outfit for occasion or day.

Force people to eat i ln season food only.
No more avacodos or cous cous this time of year it will be parsnips and turpips

Ban air conditioning.

Ban air travel unless it's business related

But then you force people to live in lots of different households so as to fulfil their individual vehicle needs so you have a lot more climate damage from lots more people using energy, etc. in more properties rather than sharing resources.

Might be better to make private car ownership illegal. People will reconsider their options if they need to jump into a Zip car down the road compared to hopping on a bike. Would also make the on street parking situation much better.

Here's a good one.

Work from home if possible. It's worked hasn't it? No need for so many cars on the road then, even electric ones.

Everyone (apart from trades, retail, delivery post, farmers, etc) can stay at home, nice and warm with their heat pump and massive radiators. Snacking on in season fruit while working on their 10 year old i3 laptop because "it still works".

When people die from suicide, because let's face it the future looks **** either way, we can burn the bodies to get some kWh.

Only 9% of the emissions come from the private cars. 81% is from the power plants, aircraft, ship, and other transport means!

No, it's stupid. You have higher private costs because you spend all days long at home.
