Greta Thunberg

@4K8KW10 I hate to say this, but... this has at times been an interesting thread. Your spamming the **** out of it hasn't improved it in any way. I wish you'd stop. Half the time it's just stupid RSS type post and run. The rest is littered with emojis as if you think it's funny and/or clever.

Don't just spam the crap out of the thread with pointless guff, please. Please.

Reported for trolling.

First is that "young people" can NOT afford a new iPhone every year.
Second is that alternative flights on hydrogen planes are possible. Just write a petition to Airbus and Boeing to start developing hydrogen-powered aircraft fleet!

People should not give up from everything, only from the very dirty current practices.
Nobody tell this man that Airbus and Boeing don't make engines :o

Most of us have already started, the top 1% have done nothing, their share of all emissions is going up!
you can act like your living in a cave all your like it makes no difference when people are heating huge mansions, flying daily, taking mega yachts out etc

your yearly carbon footprint is probably a few seconds of a billionaires

So, do you feel that there is an improvement in the air quality in downtown London or everything has been smoke and dust in people's eyes?

A 2016-vehicle is not compliant with ULEZ? WTH?

Ok, when will they stop all the kerosene combustion dirty airplanes over the London City, Gatwick, Heathrow, Luton, Stansted and London Southend?

I live just outside the M25 now, I did live in central London for over 20 years and yeah the air quality could get really bad.

Vans have to be euro 6 which came in in Sept 2016, mine is euro 5. Diesel cars its Sept 2015 onwards. Petrol cars its 2005 onwards, so its really diesels that are getting hit. I've no issue with this. It was front and centre of Khan's election manifesto and improvements should be made. I'll upgrade next year if prices drop a bit.

Modern jet engines are fairly clean burning.

What amazes me is people who walk up to fridge with a glass door, open it, and stand there for 10 minutes deciding which bag of oven chips to grab. The door is literally made so people can see through them so they don't have to stand there like a **** wasting all that energy and yet they're still too stupid to figure it out.

My wife has to read every word on them so she doesn't kill me.

The point is that "will still want that new car" is not negative but positive in the current situation of climate and environmental and health emergencies!

I have neither electric nor a hydrogen car because there is no proper choice now.

Maybe if the Chinese car manufacturers import into the European Union a decent and relatively cheap sedan.

But not a meh Tesla. It's very expensive and niche for the rich only.

Tesla Model 3 with its design is crappy.

Still refusing to answer the question then?

How much electricity is being wasted in supermarkets, keeping refridgerated food on open fronted shelves and then keeping the aisles warm enough for customers not to moan at being cold?

Some chains are planning to put doors on cold sections in new stores and during refurbishments, other chains are resisting change.

I'm not asking much of my fellow humans, but if you can't figure out even these basic things then what hope do we have? Just burn the entire species to the ground and leave this crusty ball of dirt travelling through space to the animals who will respect it and look after it.

The big chains resist putting doors on the fridges because it reduces sales, particularly impulse/unplanned purchases.

It’s exactly the same for high street shops closing their front doors to keep the heat in, people are a closed door and don’t bother going in.

Yes people are just that lazy. You could say door on fridges might be a good thing for some people….

Let’s not get on the subject of the fruit and veg isle though and the mountains of plastic.

I have only just tried to decipher your strange forum name and assume you are trying to tell us you believe you were put upon this earth in order to skate? One has to assume, given your alledged Green credentials, you were not born to ice skate in temperate regions? The energy used to keep large areas of indoor water sub zero for skater's frivolities is hefty. Should'nt ice rinks be banned?

And pray tell, where is this island of fruit and vegetables you mention, with plastic mountains? ;)

That is exactly my point..
queen will tell us climate change bla bla but still owns how many palaces? don't the public pay the heating bills too.

must cost a fortune in c02 to have a royal family and why are they royal?
because they conquered land and told us that AKA mafia family

Try telling him windspeed is not a constant.

There's no point telling him anything because he only posts the most superficial puff pieces and only skims the titles of those. He's one step up from the "one weird trick" adverts and the "car that runs on tap water" stories. Or maybe not. I wouldn't be surprised if he believed those stories.
