I don't think that's conclusive. She claims the phrase means something different in casual Swedish. It's a plausible claim. The same phrases can have different meanings in casual use in different languages. I don't know if it's true in this case, but it probably could be checked. Not that it matters - since she's THE MESSIAH, it doesn't matter what she says. Also, the context implies that she didn't mean killing them - she referred to them doing their jobs afterwards, which would be a bit tricky if they were dead.

Anyway, it isn't nit picking over a 16 year old, she's currently the innocent looking figurehead for some lefty/anti capitalist types... the mask slipped a bit recently with the "put against the wall" comment - makes you wonder whether she's writing the tweets herself even of if there is a volunteer/activist type assisting with social media.

I think most people are quite sympathetic to environmental issues.

It's very weird that Greta is so young, just 16. There must be people around her, who are significantly older, to take the responsibility on their shoulders. Why would anyone throw a kid against the dangerous sharks in the fossil fuel industry?

And why isn't there another elite group who would like to help to destroy the polluters once and for all?
 
optimum age for mixed young+older age social media dispersion ? you can see the tv add's for smart meters are now trying the youngsters guilt tripping adults, strategy.

Extinction Rebellion are interesting but to me they look like just pure enthusiasts.
Whose approach is like trying to convince the devil to become good. It won't happen.
We have to build a new economy, without the fossil fuel energy supporters participation.

I mean some people like Richard Branson, Elon Musk, and organisations like Lidl in Germany who build electric vehicles charging points at least around their stores.
I also mean an organisation of scientists, who would influence even more people with wealth to take part in new businesses based on solar energy, and all types of non-hydrocarbon fuels.

(Side note: When you mention TV, I remember MTV, for instance, which puts 16+ viewers' age PEGI recommendation! Makes absolutely zero sense to require 16-year-olds and older to watch music videos.)

The "cult of personality" IS politics these days, to vociferously pile on someone who is at least relying upon evidence to make her case (albeit by being a bit shouty) by so many posters here does strike me as blinkered at best.
 
If the white smiling dog is a symbol of a green sustainable future, while the dark serious dog a symbol of the bad qualities in humans, business interests, money profit interests, fossil fuel industry, coal, oil, gas, which do you think is the nicer dog?

They probably see her as young and dumb. So they let her carry on flapping her gums thinking she's high and mighty.

While the real big boys are just pulling the strings and laughing, she plays a small part in their big agenda.

There are only 40-45 years left for the oil industry, after which the world oil reserves will be depleted for many millions of years.
What are they going to laugh at then?
