Wait, is that a plastic banner?
Yeah. Thunberg is now an international celebrity, basically for saying, "Things be screwed up, y'all," over, and over again. The problem with Greta and the 'green youth' is that its all protests and few answers. I know my 14 year old despite knowing about being green will use vastly more resources than I did at his age (xbox+tv on, charging phone/tablet, expecting lifts everywhere) and when he grows up I doubt him and his ilk will use less resources than I did in my teens, 20s and 30s etc. Reducing CO2 is mostly pie in the sky unless/until nuclear fusion, splitting of water into H + o2 with a catalyst becomes reality. Until then even if everyone in the developed world reduced energy consumption by 50% or more, CO2 will still rise as 2/3rds + of the worlds population are currently playing catch up with the developed world.
One thing I'd like to see are reporters following people involved in extinction rebellion protests home after their protests so see what cars, trains, buses they use (all use Energy) and how cosy their homes are. Sure no doubt some are likley poor with very little but I suspect many are hypocrites and use just as much energy as I do
PS. How does a little precious 16 year old manage all that luggage on her own anyway? I guess I'm not allowed to ask that as I'm a fully grown man.

In another 'Whoops', Greta taking one straight out of the Corbyn fail book:

The poor thing sat in the vestibule with all of her luggage on a 'ram packed train'.
Except no, Deutsche Bahn confirm that actually she had a first class seat:

Oh come now don’t be coming in here and giving facts to us .They upgraded her to first class after her crew told them she has alcohol fetal syndrome and needs special care.
So people think it's some huge lie, when it appears that she tweeted that photo and then later got a seat, as people got off...
Never seen so much nit-picking over a 16 year old.
Freudian slip. That's usually what happens under Communism/Socialism, what better way to reduce CO2 output then to kill a few billion people?

You're supposed to mention that she's a girl too and that the people nit picking are "fully grown men" etc..
Anyway, it isn't nit picking over a 16 year old, she's currently the innocent looking figurehead for some lefty/anti capitalist types... the mask slipped a bit recently with the "put against the wall" comment - makes you wonder whether she's writing the tweets herself even of if there is a volunteer/activist type assisting with social media.
I think most people are quite sympathetic to environmental issues.
How did the "mask slip" if what she said has a completely different meaning in her native tongue?
