The fake news aspect of this is that there is actually any realistic prospect of halting or even changing the outcome.

Our policy should be one of defence rather than prevention.

As a metaphor for the wider issues. We can't stop sea levels from rising, but we can build sea walls. We should stop even trying to do the former and spend rather more on the latter...

In the last billions of years we have had that millions of times, and we'll have many more to come. I just don't like that every event is now down to climate change and not just life like before

Duh!! She was not there for a debating session, she was there to make a speech.

Still attacking the person, not the argument. It takes a lot of balls to speak to world leaders in a second language. I wonder how many of her detractors were doing that at 16/17.

I think that President Trump deserves to be impeached. To me, the value of his presidency is quite low and it's better if he is changed.

Look at Ms. Greta's statements - the sun shines for free, yet we burn limited in reserves and polluting the environment fossil fuels.
The environment protection policies are weak and planting trees is an even weaker solution. There is 0 progress and technology in it.

Nature needs billions of years to accumulate the fossil fuels reserves, and yet we are going to deplete them in no time - like 200 years or so.

Also, their price will only go higher, as their reserves get ever smaller and smaller.
 
It's hilarious that she says nothing has changed and temperatures are still rising....

She does realise the amount of effort and time it would take to stop global warming right? Even if we stopped burning all fossil fuels today it's unlikely we would see any change for decades, it might not even be possible as there other factors at play.

She has no idea what she's talking about.. :mad:

No way man, DEAD you literally suggested building a wall as a solution - where have I heard this before, no but seriously Why prevent AIDS just deal with it after...

I think the issue is not Fossil fuels - it's peoples attitudes, Companys are going green etc, Just need governments to force it through, it's about the longterm, not today.
