Grid 2

Is anyone getting a frozen screen for around 2-3 seconds at times? I've played mostly multiplayer, and hoping its some form of lag. My screen just freezes whilst the game is playing, and when it comes back I'm smashed up in a wall! Quite annoying really.
Doesn't happen often, but it's bugged me.

I thought that was something to do with the replay file always being on C: if your using an SSD. So if your using an SSD on c: it writes a replay file to it constantly causing jerks but does not do it with mechanical drives. According to posts on the steam forums moving the file to a mechanical drive and the linking it the folders fixes it.

One thing that is starting to annoy is starting positions online.

Because I'm usually one of the lowest level racers I'm put at the front of the grid every race, that means most people behind have faster cars, once I get to the first corner I'm usually just shunted into the wall. In one race I had lost both front tyres by the third corner and the only way I could turn the car was with the handbrake.

I am still undecided about this game. I don't feel like there is anything really drawing me in to play. I really dislike the flashbacks as well. Is there a pro mode as per Grid 1?

Made me laugh, always see this happen. Take your time and let them go past and then pick a path though the carnage till you can keep up ;)

Nope. The only assist you can change is automatic gears. Things like traction control, stability control, etc are all on by default and you can't change them.

Right, why is the game adding seconds on at the end of a online race?

Just put my phone on a timer and started a race. I finished the race in 3min10, which my phone was also at. Yet when it come to the winning board thing at the end of the game it put another 11 seconds on top of my time?

The lap couldnt of been any more perfect. So couldn't of been a penalty.

Whats crack?

What a load of rubbish! The handling isn't too bad but its the drifting thats annoying the hell out of me, I DON'T WANT TO DRIFT!

If you had to nudge the handbrake to drift fine, but the cars drifting in every single corner, argh!

I've played it for 25 minutes and I am already so frustrated with it and have no inkling to play it again, i'll stick with Project Cars until GT6 appears!

what does the different colour ! symbol meen next to your name online?

It's how you race, for example, everyone starts at green - that's neutral, you neither smash everyone, nor drive perfectly. White - You drive impeccably and don't crash into others. Orange - You are starting to slip and crashing into others. Red - You are constantly crashing into others in every race.

You are placed with others who have similar people who race the same way as you do. IE. Smashers with the smashers, and the "proper" drivers, with "proper" drivers :D
