It's the Rockstar Energy overtake Promo. Season two.

Felt like a good score, there's no leaderboards on my friends list so don't know where i came in comparison.

Temptation! I seem to play better when I know I can't use them. I would rather they weren't there. Why remove pro mode makes no sense lol. I take your point though.

I dislike the fall off a cliff and reset the car thing too. Annoys me. Should be a DNF
 
Just done my first online race and I must say it's very daunting starting at the front of the pack. I had to resist the urge to look back as I'm sure I'd have lost it seeing everyone sat on my rear bumper!
Quite chuffed to say I finished first though! :)

One question though - What does the black cross in the blue circle next to a player's car mean? I assuming it's an upgrade icon and I'm guessing the spanner icon indicates damage?
 
Oh and could I get a few more Steam friends who play GRID2 please! There's only 1 other person who plays it on my list and I like the challenge of being 1st on the friend leaderboards. :p

Well this is a terrible game, not a patch on Grid 1 and where the bloody hell is the in car view?

Sorry Codemasters but you've spoiled what should have been a superb racing game, £26 down the drain :/

Circle with a plus is upgrades, Circle with a spanner is upgrades that took the car to the next tier
 
I've been having great fun with online races :D Even though they are a bit messy at time the majority have been very clean but even the messy races usually end up being a laugh and as you are always earning money and progressing to unlocking cars I'm usually content with a 6-7th place.

I really like the online racing playlist as it keeps the racing varied! I'm finding the exp a bit grindy but in online playlist races it seems to be giving double compared to custom lobbies. Also the Racenet races defiantly scratch that itch of trying to get that little bit more to beat someone on your friends list.

Also the Tier 4 cars scare me :( So fast!
 
Most of the time I play online, no one seems to be good at the game, i'm usually 1st or 2nd unless I get caught in a destruction derby where everyone loses it on the first corner taking me out with them.

The drift events have left me disappointed with the game, Its nothing like Grid 1, You can't hold that epic slide like you could.
 
I'm loving online too.

I was in a custom game last night, filled with friendly people. They had collisions turned off so it was less stressful than usual :)

This is the game I've been after for a while. I don't have much free time usually and I'm not into cars really, so tinkering with every gear ratio and what not is not my thing at all. I just want to fire a racing game up and have a laugh for an hour or two. Like PGR this has filled that niche and the community is still new.
 
How do you mute all players in online mode?

I can see how you do individual players in the lobby, but I want to mute all, automatically, whenever I play.

I think you can select voice in the lobby then set it to only friends or Grid 2 party as then you can only hear and be heard by your friends or Grid 2 party. At least that is what I sued yesterday and it seemed to work fine!

Don't forget to join the OCUK Grid 2 group if you are looking for some friends to play with or compare times:
