Yeah but even if there was 100 of us in the group buy then thats only 100oz of colour and 400 oz of sealant if everyone bought the road rash kit. Not exactly 25l of paint. As i said do be it if we need to pay more though.
 
Had a discussion with him over the weekend, the payment, although made through paypal, took a whole 3 weeks to clear due to the funds having to go from my bank to paypal, then to him. The size of the order has meant he's just been overly busy making these, and the ones for others, I'll update when I get more.. sorry guys.

If we'd have known it was going to to take so long and the group buy was going to be so huge we'd surely get stung for import duty I'm sure we'd have just got it ourselves - thing is, we didnt realise.
 
Says on that thread that the total order size was more than £2000. At £30 for the top end kit thats far more than just this forum surely?

Is this a group buy in the traditional sense - ie, we club together to get something cheaper, or is Scooby buying £2k+ worth of product and reselling it? It does seem pretty enormous? I thought it was just a forums + a few of his workmates groupbuy not the whole of Scoobynet as well?

Ah well I'm sure it will arrive soon :D

you have to take postage into consideration too - they charge like £27 to post the £30 kit to UK

this obvioussly gets smaller per kit ordered

but a 2k order could be with like £250 shipping costs

and if you look at the dates - they both match up with both group buys

as well as their names

and the exact smae original posts

i think scooby has done a fly one and is actually making money out of this group buy rather than trying to save you all money
