A word of warning, as a mate of mine got caught by import duty on a different group buy (this assumes it gets checked)..

The orders from OCUK forums alone are over £2K, so there is at least £450 of import duty on top (another £5-6 each) before they will release it. I think you have around 45 days to pay before they destroy your goods.

My mate had the problem that people were not stumping up the cash quickly enough and the 45 day limit was approaching. In the end a small group of them had to pay the difference to stop £3K worth of kit being destroyed.

It doesn't bother me that the paints haven't turned up yet as it isn't a 5-min job and I've been busy anyway!

i was on the scooby forums and saw the other group buy - so i mentioned it here

then 2 well known numpties decided to derail the thread whilst i was trying to provide them with information - its became a bit of a problem with 1 of them who tries to do it in every single thread i post in - mr 70,000 post hero

rather than them looking at the facts and agreeing with me - they decided to try and resort to petty shot taking and bs excuses as to why they didnt care about the information provided

where exactly did i gloat????

when you guys get hit with the import duty ill be glad, due to crap posted, like above

even scuzi couldnt just agree with me - he had to have a dig as well - well played for a mod especcially after another mod has said to stop

So far most of the people wanting the kits are happy to wait however long it takes for them to arrive. As ScoobyDoo69 has said, he didn't realise it would be such a big order and didn't realise the amount of problems that would occur along the way, and it's too late now to worry about them.

I haven't ordered paint, but if I had, I really wouldn't be all that fussed, it's a none essential item that can wait if need be.

As someone involved in the groupbuy, i couldnt care less how long it takes to arrive and some of the comments made about Scooby making interest/profit are out of order, hes done this thing as a favour to us and obviously things havent gone smoothly. Im for 1 very grateful he has gone to the effort of organising it.
