That made my day! I was just looking around that area on the shelf for some chillis and a familar shape. The chilli was lying on the ground. I remember thinking - jesus that's a Naga and started searching the shelves one chill type at a time. The Naga packets were hidden, facing down and in such a way you could see the chilli.
I got odd looks after exclaiming "yes - that's just made my day!"

ive been sticking to the pollinating with a cotton bud but i pull some of the fluff of and lick it so its not fluffy. seems to be working it looks like i have 3 or 4 more chillies starting.

im also thinking of repotting them 2 per pot in prob 8-10 inch pots. they are getting very tall and fall over very easily when they are outside.

What you going to use the Nagas for striping the paint off your skirting's lol.

i got a jar of pickled Jalapino's from Asdas big one for 97p the girl liked one and was claiming her face was on fire lol, started to complain it was making her tongue numb then downed a bottle of beer to try help.

The dog wouldnt even eat it

Thought i'd post an update. In the second pic, i'm getting some star shaped 'buds'... are these where the Chillis start growing from ?? :D

Got my first experience of the Nagas last night.

I decided to make chilli oil. So I'd previously dried them out, then boiled them in malt vinegar followed by heating the oil and placing the chopped chillis in the sterile bottle along with the 180degC oil.

I was also busy making dinner (toad-in-the-hole) and decided to use one of the slithers of chilli (after vinegar boil) in one of the sausages.

The experience was certainly hot but due . I'd suspect the drying, vinegar boil and partial cook in the toad-in-the-hole would have taken a lot from the experience compared to raw.

So I'll wait while the chilli oil infuses..

As Zippy would say "Dangerous" i would love to grow them but know for a fact i would have a melted face

I'm still waiting for my first flowers to come out, I've got loads of buds and a couple that seem to have been on the verge of flowering for about a week now, so frustrating!

couple of questions.

how do you know when they are ripe for picking?

how do i stop them growing taller? they are nearly a meter tall now and are falling over easily, plus they have filled my window. if i plant them in larger pots will they stop growing up and concentrate on the roots? was thinking of sticking 2 per pot.

take a cotton bud, pull some of the fluff off, wet it a bit so its not fluffy then stick it in the flowers and rub round to get pollen on it then do it with the rest of the flowers.

Effectivley being a bee, as if you dont pollinate them they wont fruit

Guys, some help please.

I've only got one plant, but about 8 flowers have appeared with another 10 or so on the way.

Seen the chat on pollenation but wondering exactly how to "help" the process. I can see how to remove the pollen, but what do I do with it after that? Use a cotton bud to put it where?

Plants are indoors BTW.

Thanks.

EDIT: ahh, just seen above. So you're just spreading the flowers pollen around the flower then, OK. Should've listened in Biology.
