GT5 Japan release date

I'd rather wait - everything I've seen of it thus far says its going to be well worth it. The screens that were released yesterday just look astonishing.
 
In all honesty Im not interested in screenshots as no doubt theyll be 'massaged' in-game like they were in GT5P. I wanna see in-game HD video (not replay) :p

Jesus that last screenshot looks real...

This is an automatic pre-order and I doubt that will change

Dont get me wrong, I own a PS3, have GT5:P and have had the other GT games as well, I love it as much as the next guy but between the stupid delays and how good F2 is and how F3 is looking it has really put me off this game.

GT5:P was a polished turd, no advancement from GT3 imo, just better looks.

People are just hooked on how good it will look WHEN it finally arrives...

They should have done a Blizzard and said its done when its done instead of how they have played it so far.

Saying all that, WOW.. those are serious images shown there!

If they add photo-mode of that standard to the game, then that alone will spawn a milllion desktop pictures..

Im pretty sure they have done exactly that, they have even said this week for driving about the track and stuff its done but they are now improving it all and polishing it till it shines. They are also still adding features that the comunity have asked for, all i ever see is media/webistes saying the game is coming out on a certain date and frustrated people moaning about Gt5 missing that release date when PD or Sony never confirmed it.
Im getting Forza 3 probably preowned as as ill be playing Uncharted 2 for a few weeks lol. It doesnt look quite as good as GT5P, but it looks like it will be a great game to drive and the SP game sounds a bit different from the norm. Forza 3 gameplay sounds great, looking at the buzz on this forum, cant wait for the demo this week, but i dont see any way it will stop me wanting GT5, it will probably make me want GT5 more lol.

They pretty much did tbh, PD have never themselves set a release date and all Sony have done is said 'around late 2009/early 2010'. All these so called 'solid' release dates we've heard have been rumours, never the official word.
 
i just got mcv in the post this morning with the free official sony booklet and according to a page in there GT is going to be released on the 12 of 2009? or has that been debunked already?

Ive said many times in this thread, it seems like for some reason PD or Sony decided to change the release to next March to add in new possibly new features/polish. One good bit of news is that it seems that the US/EU release will be very close to the Japan release as its already being localised.

There is also an update coming for the next 3 weeks on this site, with some lovely pics of the trailer shown at TGS http://us.gran-turismo.com/us/news/d5081.html that ends on the 23 October. Strangely enough on the 24th October the Tokyo motor show starts, which has GT5/PD as one of the main sponsers hmmm.
