I'd prefer the 360 version because of the DLC. Once I've finished the game, I'll be happy knowing that I've got access to more content at a later date. Coupled with hopefully fun achievements I'll have a lot of playtime on my hands.

Microsoft should just have paid Rockstar £200,000,000 and said "this game is ours".

Yeah but only 10 hours, if that is 3 at only 10 hours, we will end up paying more for DLC than we did the game.
I thought Digital Distribution was meant to be better and cheaper for consumers.
And i don't know who i am trying to kid, i will pay for the DLC no doubt. But i will do it through gritted teeth
Yea well thats just the way things are going and its going to continue because theres enough people willing to pay. I have never bought a map pack or anything like that but like you GTA will probably sway me over.

reminds me of a friend i had when i was very young, couldnt come up with his own fun, had to be spoon-fed challenges

I can only play GTA on the PC, as I find the old console versions GFX appauling, the fog makes it so hard to see where I'm going. Obv as this is a new gen GTA I'm hoping that's fixed
I can't see either console version being terrible to be honest, its too much of a big game for Rockstar.
I'll be getting the 360 version purely because I don't own a PS3 yet (But I reckon if I did have both machines I'd get the 360 version anyway purely because of achievements.)

Back to your original point, yes it was an exaggeration, but I'd rather be playing GTA4 on a nice quite PS3 than the good ol' MS Dust Buster!

Yeah I know what you mean. With SA the lack of AA made me give up on it completely and wait for the pc version. As you say though I think it will be much different this gen.

Would you believe I have always wondered the same same thing but have never looked it up? There are loads of in jokes in people's sigs that I don't get though (cos I only read the consoles section!)
