Wouldn't being able to swim break the game? I can't really remember much but you were cut off from the second part of the island by a broken bridge at first.

It really wasn't hard to get over to the second island right from the word go. Head over to the bridge to starfish island, drop onto passing boat, done.

No, in 3 it was the opening cutscene that blows up the bridge. They never bother to explain why the tunnel is blocked off though.

Possibly, but it would be nice if one foot touching the water didn't still result in instant drowning. Even in 2003 (VC on PC) that was an odd choice for a game set on a series of islands.

Lets face it, these games are nearly 20 years old, it was a different era and the desire to play is mainly nostalgia based - Trying to capture the fun of experiencing if for the first time.

I imagine most people will be disappointed with how clunky they are, even in remastered form.

Personally i just want to experience the stories of 3-sa again with a new coat of paint on. Not too bothered by gameplay that much.

I stuck GTA PSX version on my PSP Go. Plays perfectly, forgot how good the original top down GTA 1 is. Fantastic gameplay and music.

Surely it will be moddable to put the original playlist back in. I remember it being very simple in the original. The amount of cuts really detracts from the nostalgia in my opinion.

It is not silly at all. It is one of the most important parts for the immersion in the game. The amount of songs missing from Vice City is massive and I will not play it unless I can put the old radio station files into the game.
