How can it be infinite? Is that just the single player map?

I used to play a multiplayer map where i was whitelisted (its on this forum) and it was a set size. It was huge but it was a set size

Linktart was the name of it

You can still see my 'house' Just outside I made a lava fountain so I could find it on the map at night

I don't know if it has changed now, but previously when you started a single player game in Minecraft it would generate the World around you. According to the creators of the game that world would generate as you walked and would generate basically up until you ran out of hard disk space.

On the multiplayer servers you have to limit the size to help with the server load and to make sure the space gets used as if not players would run 20000 blocks in one direction then 20000 blocks in the other direction leaving a massive void, also each time a new part of the world is loaded it causes strain on the server/players making for some rather nasty lag so most multiplayers servers have a pre-generated land to help performance.

The actually Minecraft worlds are almost limitless, here is a good example of how far the worlds can reach (this guy could have gone further):

You can do that in any direction and it will continually spawn new areas of land, pretty cool :D But also rather bland compared to the likes of GTA

Now back on to GTA...

No mention of PC is worrying and the console aging process isn't getting any prettier :(

I still can't wait for it though I'm sure its going to be a great game even if it is stuck on consoles for a while.

I hope the radio stations are much better in this one than 4, those ones were a bit rubbish compared to previous games.
Plus, I hope there aren't any more 'comedy' clubs, they were AWFUL

Guess I'll just do what I did for GTA IV: get the X360 version first, putting up with its low resolution and questionable frame rates for half a year or more, and then grab it day-one on its PC release.

Edit: Or, maybe, we--PC gamers--should stick it to the Man and skip the console release to show Rockstar that people desperately want a version on our beloved platform. Hmm...

I very much enjoyed Grand Theft Auto IV on my xbox and ps3 :)

I'm not 'too' fussy about my perfromance, GTA IV always ran well on PC for me so I enjoyed it on PC too.

I'll get it on release day on console again, I don't mind waiting for the PC copy, it's usually cheap in a sale at some point anyway :)

Rockstar said:
we're proud to announce that Grand Theft Auto V is expected to launch worldwide spring 2013 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

What about PC?

Its really poor imo that Rockstar have not mentioned a god damn thing about this game yet,I mean whats happening with the PC version?

They say its available for pre-order on the 5Th but tell you nothing about the game your actually pre-ordering.
