Don'5hink I will be able to resist play8ng online until I have completed SP; besides I love the excitement and chaos of new online releases. Would have been nice to brush up on some console play beforehand.
A poll would be good to see how many will be experiencing GTA V for the first time on PC.

I've resorted to a different tactic after RGSC failing twice at the last hurdle and jumping me back to 44GB. With all the interruptions on my PC (turning it off at night for the first two nights and continuously restarting the client instead of pausing), I'm downloading it on my laptop which has 200GB free. This should also rule out if it's failing because it can't 'see' enough space to unpack the game on release day (it flashed up with 'verifying' or something and then fails, but it did it too quickly for me to catch the exact text).
Hopefully if I am successful on my laptop I can just move the files over to my PC and it'll be seamless.

I know it's not much, but Steam discussions are all saying that you shouldn't need more than 65.
Also have been hearing how the depotcache files work differently to something like .rar files.
I also sort of agree in someway as I'm sure it would have been mentioned in the system requirements
So I guess it all ends up if you're a trusting person or not as there is no definitive answer, just that image and random posts

what the hell, I downloaded it all finally and after verifying files suddenly im downloading again from 28.70gb
same happened to me only via the client directly
+1 for this, I stopped and started and it has been a nightmare. Finally going again now with 5gb to go. I swear, if this doesn't register its completion this time im going to flip

I'm up in Trefriw. My cab too is due to go live in June, looking forward to getting 80Mb FTTC. I get 12Mb at the moment. Not looking forward to downloading 60GB.

Only if you're within 150m of the exchange will you get 80mbps - 8MB/s and Trefriw's exchange is in Llanrwst which is over 2 miles. Unless they're installing roadside cabinets?
Getting annoying now as it's consuming my entire internet, and after a restart I lost over 15GB which was an overnight haul.
Just an idea, could I not torrent it instead? Is Rockstar Social the only way we can download it?

Reached 57gb twice downloading on social club - resets to 43gb and have to keep downloading the rest. Very frustrating cannot seem to complete the download.

this is the single worst download experience i have ever had. if it came down from the Rockstar Social Club at a decent speed it would be alright, bit it's so slow that it really takes the mick.
