GTA4 - Will it be appearing on pc?

Hi there

Just wondering as it is coming out on the ~cough~ consoles soon, is it going to be like all the other games in this series and comes out a year later or will this year be different?

Plus what specs do you think it will need?

Nothing official, but I was say almost definite.

And I'm hoping that switching from ps2 lead to 360/ps3 will improve the turnover, so barring any exclusivity deals we'll get it sooner that the previous 3.

I also heard that it has up to 16 players online for the console, hopefully this will be the same or better for the pc.

Has the potential to be the game of the year, but lots of disappointments so far this year with overrated games.

I would expect it on PC about 8 months to a year after the console release.

The previous ones did, but not Vice City Stories or Liberty City Stories unfortunately

As it's no longer an exclusive PS2 release (as previously) I hope it'll be ported sooner rather than later!

But im sure it will. Same thing with san andreas and previous 2 gta games.
First playstation, no pc version announced at first, then a year after it comes out for pc.

I think the previous 3 GTA games were all available on PC within 7 months from the PS2 release.

As for the specs for it to be maxed I rekon it'll need something like an 9600GT minimum and proberbly will be abit choppy with anything more than 4xAA, thats my guess.

But since theres more money in console gaming, PC's users will never be on top of the list unless the game wouldn't work well on a console ie MMO's, RTS's etc (which are even seeing a lot of console love now).

As far as GTAIV goes, like others have said and going by history the PC will get it sooner or later.

best not need a 9600GT!!!! this x1950 cost me a lot + i 'think' i would need to buy the next PSU up from mine to have a more powerful card
