GTR Evolution

I think you might want to calm down a bit....they will probably release it like Race07 when its morning/office time in the US

I thought that too......but at 0736hrs this morning the message said....

"unlocks in one hour".

Well, it's now some considerable time after 0836hrs, and no unlock. That's fraud/deception.
I bet they'd still do me too if I went and got it off a torrent site.

How can I get my money back from these theives so I can go and buy it in HMV?

I'd be much calmer if I'd slept instead of sitting hitting refresh for the last 7 hours+

I do not live in Jesusland anyway, and it never said "1st sept, Jesusland time".
It said "in one hour" more than 7 hours ago.

And people wonder why people use torrents.....LOL.

Well if HMV have it in stock they are doing well because it isn't released until the end of this week...and calling them thieves is also a little harsh, ok so its not released yet and they had a timer up, but its still the 1st here and its definitely the 1st in the region where the company releasing it are base.

and maybe you should have slept???

I KNOW the minute I do, the daft thing will unlock, then when I get up I have to sit waiting on the download. I just want to get it started.

Thieves is no less accurate a term here than it would be if I had downloaded their game 7 hours before buying it.....I'd still be busted for "stealing it". In fact, as I said, if I downloaded it as a torrent NOW, having paid for it, they'd still bust me.

If they can't supply it, they shouldn't offer it.
If they've put the release back....why not say so, instead of "please wait".

Sorry, my usually bright and breezy sense of humour always fails catastrophically where corporate unfairness is concerned (ie.....I take game but not pay, even if it's for 5 mins=I'm a criminal. They take cash and give no game, for as long as they like="read our T+C and thanks for the cash moron").

The thing is, I'm not even bursting to play it, actually worried it'll interfere with my Iracing....I just want to start the download before I go to bed.

Glad I cancelled this. I spent the money on 3 months of iracing instead and can’t see myself wanting to play anything else!

it's slightly ridiculous that this still hasn't been released on steam, and we can't preload, and it's a public holiday in america.

Is it just me, or have some of the new cars got the same weirdness that the first version of Race suffered from.....ie,no feel in the brakes?
I find it very hard (as I did in the first Race) to brake effectively, can't detect the locking point somehow......well, except by lookin mirrors for some smoking 11's LOL

Great Nordie model, and do my eyes deceive me, or have the Race07 tracks got a bit of a makeover?

I think they have all had a bit of spit and polish :-) Monza looks great. I found I had to wind down the sensitivity on the brake pedal as the GTs, dropped it to 30% and now its much better, but then I had to do the same on GTR2 and Race.

Well i just bought this over steam, i had the original RACE but never bothered with RACE 07 as i was a little dissapointed with the original one, it was fun dont get me wrong but it just didnt engage me quite as much as i had hoped it would.

anyway on the current matters, RACE 07 and GTR EVO, what did i miss out on in RACE 07! bloody hell! not bothered with the standard WTCC cars yet but the radicals on there own was worth it, they cars are hilariously fun, ok a little too easy to control and not very punishing if you get it wrong, but still fun nonetheless.
after getting to grips with the caterhams again i moved on to GTR Evo.

i've been away from sim racing for quite a while, not really taken it seriously since GTR, i gave the likes of GTlegends, GTR2 and RFactor a good play but never really stuck with it, not because i didnt like them, just had others things to do.
i think i could find myself quite at home with GTR Evo, as mentioned above it feels like a polished up version of GTR2/RACE with loads of new content(not that it was lacking with the modding community).
i can see me using this fair bit and when i get back to grips with the feel and start stringing together some decent laps whilst keeping it out of the gravel, i'll get back to doing some proper races.
