GTX 1070 - any takers?

So far for me looks wise I'm really leaning to the inno3d x3 or x4 ,then the evga SC and MSI gaming 3rd .

I know the inno and the MSI gaming have 6+8 pins but not sure about the evga.

What's inno's reputation like,warranty,reliability and such?
 
Just looked at the gigabyte card ,looks nice but is only a 8 pin,and I'm in the thinking going with the 8+6 could give better oc results.

It hasn't been proven? As far as I know nobody has been able to bench an AIB 1070. And not many people have an AIB 1080 to test either.

I know what you're saying, from the reports of overclocking from the 1080 it seems like anything more than 1 8-pin is pretty useless... But to say it's proven isn't true

when I had my 970sli W3 was around 70fps...it's just badly optimised
on 1070 you should be able to get 80+

35fps in 1440p - settings are messed up for sure

But isn't that really how it should be benchmarked?

I could get 1440p60 on a 970 if I tweaked the settings enough but as far as I'm concerned that isn't really a proper bench test.

Yeah it is quite the shame as i was wanting to upgrade from my 770 to a 1070.
selling my old card would help abit towards the cost of the new card but i was hoping it would be around the £300-£350 mark as i'm sure i read earlier the price might be getting pulled down abit since AMD reduced their prices on cards not to far from similar performance cards.

It'd be fair if all benchmarks used max possible settings (including other cards) but they don't. If we were to use this guys bench for every card for instance, the 1080 would be the only card to get anywhere above 60

That's just the Founders Edition. We should definitely (ok, well, hopefully) be getting some aftermarket brands in the £300-350 bracket.
 
I really can't get why people think £300-£350 will be a good price, the card it replaces currently costs £250-£300. You can't say that's fine because it's faster, it's supposed to be faster.

Because the card it's basically as fast as (GTX 980 Ti), used to be at least £500. So £200 less, for equal or better performance.

The trouble with prices is if the card was £50 there would still be people wanting it to be cheaper.
