GTX 1070 - any takers?

I'm confused about the NDA on the 1070. For the 1080 it lifted a couple days before release and we got a lot more information.

Now we're told the 1070 NDA lifts on the same day that it goes on sale? Wat?

I know what you mean. I don't really understand it either.

I hope custom cards aren't available on Friday so I have make a quick descision ;)

There isn't even any preorder stuff for them. OCUK posted stuff about the 1080 several days before its release.

Guess it just comes down to trying to get as many 1080 through the door until 1070 release day.

Personally was going to go for the 1080 but just didn't want to part with that much money.

Do you know what the clock speeds of the card are?

In almost every review the 1070 is faster than anything else except the 1080. Final AIB clock speeds are irrelevant they are going to be more than stock 1070 FE edition therefore faster still!

1070 changes the GPU market as it makes everything else Nvidia sell except for the 1080 massively obsolete at current price points so watch those new & used prices tumble rapidly once 1070 stock is available in decent quantity!

Same. The extra price (£250+ more) for the 1080 isn't justified by the extra performance imo.

I'd rather pick up a 1070 asap, wait a while for them to come down in price then pick up a second.

I was meaning the clock speeds for the MSI 1070 Gaming X.

These need to hurry up, the graphics card in my old build died about a month ago and I'm waiting for these to be released before I order all the parts for a new system. The wait is excruciating. :(

I would be amazed if these are less than £400 at launch perhaps £450 with extreme price gouging!

Once word gets out to the mainstream GTX 980 Ti performance for way less money its going to shake up the Nvidia GPU market.

Used Titan X & GTX980Ti prices will nosedive & once there is more GTX1070 stock in the channel any new GTX980Ti stock will drop as its now obsolete.

GTX1070 has 2Gb more VRam + 100W less power draw + lower temps & better thermals makes it hard to justify buying anything else unless you must have the extra performance of the GTX1080!
