GTX 1070 - any takers?

There are a fair few architecture tweaks but in terms of price for the performance increase you get generation on generation its pathetic and I'm surprised how many just accept it or worse defend it.

Look at the GTX 980 Ti stock everywhere is pretty high I think Nvidia were unprepared for yields to be better than expected & demand to outstrip supply so much at certain price points ;)

Nvidia have blindsided themselves and are not sure what to do about the GTX 980 Ti market clearly its already EOL internally within Nvidia just not yet communicated to their retail partners!

4. AMD with the debacle of the Fury & 390 (pricing, performance & lack of overclocking, rehashes) and supposedly having a massive advantage to release cards on the new node. Nvidia are about to release their second while AMD have released zilch.

Very True. I wasn't trying to save AMD in anyway I don't have the fanboy mentality.

The Fury X is a bad joke too and AMD and their CPU division ... not even sure where to start with that bad comedy too, but they tell us ZEN will be amazing.... but I'm sure I heard that before too from AMD... Bulldozer anyone ?.... they were right to name it that, there was a lot of Bull ...


You know there was one card I actually liked the Nano .. reason I say that it was the perfect card for HTPC or small form factor PC and for the size the performance was really nice. Only thing from AMD that impressed me since the 5870.

Cheaper to make too more die's per wafer
but will start getting peeps in here saying there are millions upon millions of R&D costs involved... how do we know it costs that much show me the bill for nvidia's R&D costs and i will stand corrected...

at the end of the day these prices are just plain silly

And the fact is how do we know these new so called features are on the chip for all we know they could be software driven by the driver

I think Nvidia have just hiked the cost of custom PC's up a couple of notches. looks like even the 960 replacement will be over £300.

Its imperative for AMD to bring all this back down to earth.

amd could debut the new cards or maybe use the new budget card at e3 when they show off battlefield 1

maybe overclockers seen people moaning about the price of some card and took them down to lower the prices maybe?
