GTX 1070 - any takers?

Lol, I'd suggest anyone buying a 1070 should keep it to themselves for a while, as they'll be setting themselves up as a real hate figure around here.

:)

And the fact is how do we know these new so called features are on the chip for all we know they could be software driven by the driver

Exactly......

The minor tweaks I mention are related to die shrink, you can't just take a old process chip and shrink it optically, it will need some tweaking to the new process so it works as designed. BUT that is a easy thing to do for them as they know what changes are required for it to work right. Then in that tweaking process they may tweak other things, like how Intel does stepping for CPUs, they are basically just tweaks to the original design (to resolve errors that were not noticed before or improve the performance/efficiency of a process on the CPU)

maybe overclockers seen people moaning about the price of some card and took them down to lower the prices maybe?

I've still got the original page open from earlier this morning so I can check any difference in prices if they do, but I doubt they will by any significant amount.

At this rate, with no info from AMD i'll be picking myself up a used 980TI :(

That's what I've decided to do. Tbh if all was even then I would get a 1070 but around £400 for an upper mid range card is conceptually too much for me. I'll stick with a 980ti till I emigrate :D

If they haven't taken the listings offline to adjust the prices, I'm going to be seriously p*ssed off.

I've had £350 sitting collecting dust in my house for weeks and weeks which should have been plenty for a non-FE, I wouldn't have minded a small increase. P*sstakers.

Zero reason to move from my 970 if these prices are accurate.

I might have stretched to £350 at a big push.

really hope hardly anyone buys one of these.

I've no issue with someone building from scratch getting one as they don't have any real choice if they need a card now but anyone who doesn't really need one of these would be doing every pc gamer a favour by holding off.
