Grumble for a few days, but pay the price anway, is the usual PC hardware way.
Exactly what we tend to do in the UK with pretty much everything..... Moan, then cough up anyway lol

There are a fair few architecture tweaks but in terms of price for the performance increase you get generation on generation its pathetic and I'm surprised how many just accept it or worse defend it.
The Gaming X has a small RGB logo on the top edge, along with some (rather dim and crappy-looking) red LEDs on the front of the cooler. The Gaming Z, assuming they do a 1070 version of that, also has an RGB dragon badge on the backplate.
Don't buy the cards. Leave it a few weeks and they will soon start to knock the prices down.

Zero reason to move from my 970 if these prices are accurate.
I might have stretched to £350 at a big push.
really hope hardly anyone buys one of these.
I've no issue with someone building from scratch getting one as they don't have any real choice if they need a card now but anyone who doesn't really need one of these would be doing every pc gamer a favour by holding off.
When has that EVER happened though, a significant drop on a card a short while after release?
Remember when everyone was moaning about the 1080 and 1 week or less later, they were all caving and buying the FE because they couldn't wait?
I wonder how long before that happens with the 1070. People will hold off and moan for a day, then they'll buy it anyway. Welcome to the free market, make sure you lube up because Nvidia sure ain't bringing any!
I'll stick with a 980ti till I emigrate![]()
This is puerly speculation but based in fairly solid clues.
AMD will be releasing a $300 card. It's not the 4GB or 8GB 480
I might have to pass at those prices. I was expecting the FE to be the most expensive cards, not the cheapest. I have about £350 maximum to spend.
