GTX 780 Owners Club

1241 MHz with boost mate
and I gave it +38mV
I think I can go higher, but I will test it later on

well done that is an amazing result.

I use 3 benchmarks:
Valley can only overclock upto 1162 with boost and +38mV
Heaven 4 tested so far upto 1188 and +38mV
Furmark tested so far upto 1188 and +38mV

do you get similar results where one benchmark fails and cant overclock anymore and other ones can go further?

Furmark is not good for graphics cards, it is one benchmark that is best left alone.

Just order a 780 any driver preferences please ive been with AMD for last few years so out of touch with Nvidia cards.

Wont be over clocking the card and only game I play atm is iracing.

When I just ordered it OCUK sent me 4 confirmation emails hope ive not bought 4 cards by mistake lol.

I have to test on Heaven 4.0, if OC is to high it will crash.
In 3DMark 11 1241 MHz is fine, but max memory stable clocks are +250 MHz

Thinking about getting a cooler for the card, what would be the best one to get? Seen a few in PC Gamer this month but still not sure!

Thanks.

Did your Titan come with a Windmill for a cooler? if not I don't see a reason to take the Titan Cooler off. Between me and my mates EVGA 770 ACX and my ref 780, the difference is 3c.

Doesn't seem worth imo, Titan is a beast cooler.

I have a 780. I can only find water blocks, but my rig is air cooled! Just want to see how far I can push the oc as I think my results now are pretty poor compared to most on here.

don't worry about it pal. my results are even worst ;)
you will notice that people with high overclock are running this card on water cooling.
I would love to get it water cooled but its £200+ investment unless you can get dwoods bracket and get corsair hydro series or antec kuhler series installed on gpu to get it water cooled on a budget. the only problem is that currently dwood is not taking any orders for the brackets
maybe someone on forum has one for sale???

I couldn't resist an EVGA SC ACX for only £20 more than a standard card!
The factory OC seems to give a real nice boost over a stock card. Always luck of the draw with OC'ing a stock card so nice to have it done for you.

It's a shame that the black part of the shroud is hard plastic and not all metal but even so it still looks really sexy in the flesh. The metal trim really sets it off.

As for cooling performance well it's sitting here now idling at 26 degrees. The fan motors are seriously quiet and very smooth, being ball bearing and it's really hard to even hear any airflow.
When they speed up during gaming I can't hear them over my other fans. With my room seriously hot yesterday I was seeing 64-67 degrees max during gaming.

I dont know what my local DPP driver is called but he's really funny :) he looks like xzibit and always greets me: "yo man, how youre doing?":D

but now being serious I have finished overclocking the beast.
My final clocks on standard titan cooler that pass valley, heaven and 3dmark are:
gpu: +195MHz 1058MHz
with boost: 1097MHz but EVGA is showing 1188MHz (not sure why GPU-Z is showing it lower)
memory: +575MHz 1790MHz
temps are in this hot weather about 65-68C. just need to play with fan profiles to get it as quiet as I can.
overall I'm quite happy with it's just a shame I cant get a bit more on GPU.
