I'm running mine off a Corsair 760w not had any problems with it.
With the talk of the R290X being so hot and loud I thought I'd dig out my SPL meter and see what my pair of 780's were like. I let Heaven 4 bench run for a while until my cards had reach maxed temperatures, which is 80C for the top card and around 72C for the bottom one. Fan speeds at 70% and 62%.
From 50cm away from my case, any angle, it wasn't registering anything. No my cards aren't silent/water cooled, they're on the ref cooler. My meter is a cheap Radioshack analog model and can only read as low as 50dB. It wasn't until I got right on top of my case that it started to register. Make no mistake they still make plenty of noise and I certainly wouldn't want to be gaming with anything other than headphones on. I have open backed Sennheiser PC 360's which at moderate volume mean I don't hear my system at all when playing my normal fair of racing sims.

A standard evga 780 gtx for £400, is that a good price? Are the standard evga cards any good?
Yeah EVGA, awesome warranty, £400 for a brand new one is epic.

Yes amazing price. I have a ref Gigabyte card and it does 1350MHz core clock. My MSI gaming card even higher. EVGA are very good.

Is that on stock volts?? My case has very good cooling, do these run hot like a 290x??
Any of the Coolers can keep them under 70c with a custom fan curve providing you have a bit of air through your case

I doubt that is new, I can't see them for anywhere near that money.
Might be an ex VAT price...
Like me I no pay VAT so am trying work out if I what buy a GTX 780 (around £400 ex VAT) or a titan (£580 ex vat) or wait for the GTX 780ti prices.

Anyone bought the "Gigabyte GeForce GTX 780 WindForce 3x OC" from OcUK recently? Know if they are the rev2 versions? Not much difference I have read, 2 x 8pin on the rev2 instead of 1 x 8 and 1 x 6. Pictures on OcUK look rev1.
Pondering getting the card, waiting until tomorrow to see if the 3 free games are added.
Shall get the "Seasonic G series 750w '80 Plus Gold" to go with it.
To be honest I wanted the Asus DCUII card, but I doubt it is worth the extra £50 over the Windforce.

I had preordered the 7990 but I changed my order to the windforce. I hope the games will be added
I've got a V1 and it's a wonderful card. Cool and quiet, even at full pelt.
