just a quick question.
how long are the codes what you get with the free games?
i get a code which is 8 digits long.but then do i need to goto uplay then put that code in,and it will give me a longer code?
thanks
I got a couple of codes with my 670 and had to log onto a specific nvidia site and then redeem that code to get the uplay code.
right but im selling the games you see,so should i give the person just the 8 digits and they can get the serial code from UPlay themselfs?
Not sure if it's the same thing, but my windforce arrived late today aswell, won't get chance to try till later, but I always give fans a quick finger spin to check there free, noticed when I took mine outta box end fan was catching,it was a black covered wire between fan and heat sink catching, just gave a gentle push either end of stiff cable between fan blades, not even a mm and fan spun free.
Only mention because if the same you would be better doing same, rather than fan blade take cover off wire!
I caved in and bought an MSI gaming edition and an EK titan SE block. This will be my first nvidia card ever. (after nearly 13 years of ati cards)
Bought a 780 Classified yesterday.
Their was concern that these were possibly shipping with Epidia memory, spoke with OC:CS who said it was Hynix but not to sure.
Only just had chance to have a quick play, and I am pretty sure its not Elpida memory as I have already been able to hit 1802mhz on the memory (couple loops of heaven)....... Not saying its 100% stable at this speed yet, but its looking good
Was running a little hot at stock though, 76c in 750d (so,so airflow case). Yet to play with the fan profile though. Can you remove the cooler on this card to replace TIM without voiding warranty? Sure you can, just checking.
Anyway, just thought I'd let people know in case their was concern on the memory side of things![]()

The standard fan profile is pretty low on most 780's, wack it up a bit and it will keep it cool no problem just don't put mad volts through it.
Temp-% is a good starting point ie 50c=50% 60c=60% 70c=70%![]()
Welcome to green pastures.
