I got a couple of codes with my 670 and had to log onto a specific nvidia site and then redeem that code to get the uplay code.

Not sure if it's the same thing, but my windforce arrived late today aswell, won't get chance to try till later, but I always give fans a quick finger spin to check there free, noticed when I took mine outta box end fan was catching,it was a black covered wire between fan and heat sink catching, just gave a gentle push either end of stiff cable between fan blades, not even a mm and fan spun free.
Only mention because if the same you would be better doing same, rather than fan blade take cover off wire!

I have just taken mine out of the case to check and have noticed that the fan (nearest PCI plate) seems too close to the shroud. The others are more central, this one appears off slightly. Which is why it is catching. It is leaving a powder on the metal, which disappears when wiped, but of course this can't be right.

I will drop cs a web note to look at.

I caved in and bought an MSI gaming edition and an EK titan SE block. This will be my first nvidia card ever. (after nearly 13 years of ati cards)

Bought a 780 Classified yesterday.

Their was concern that these were possibly shipping with Epidia memory, spoke with OC:CS who said it was Hynix but not to sure.

Only just had chance to have a quick play, and I am pretty sure its not Elpida memory as I have already been able to hit 1802mhz on the memory (couple loops of heaven)....... Not saying its 100% stable at this speed yet, but its looking good :)

Was running a little hot at stock though, 76c in 750d (so,so airflow case). Yet to play with the fan profile though. Can you remove the cooler on this card to replace TIM without voiding warranty? Sure you can, just checking.

Anyway, just thought I'd let people know in case their was concern on the memory side of things :)

Good to hear as I am awaiting mine and the WC blocks hopefully will be available soon :D

I'm pretty sure you can with EVGA as they sell custom coolers for their titans etc, might be worth sending them an email just to confirm (EVGA that is) for that piece of mind

The standard fan profile is pretty low on most 780's, wack it up a bit and it will keep it cool no problem just don't put mad volts through it.

Hi again guys

Am going from EVGA GTX 680 to EVGA 780 classified

Mainly play BF3 and soon BF4

What difference in both games should I expect?

Lew

p.s. what's the current market value on a 2012 stock EVGA GTX 680?

Well I have finally jumped to the Nvidia side and put my trusty 5870 out to pasture. Picked up a Gigabyte Windforce 3 780 which should arrive next week. Hope I have made a decent choice there?

The only thing holding it back is my small monitor (1680x1050) but the coffers are empty after this purchase so might have to smuggle it onto the TV when the Missus isn't looking.

Guessing I wont notice much difference because of the lowish res of the monitor? Surely I will be able to add some AA and geegaws though right?

Its going to be paired with an Ivy i5 3570k but the only concern I do have is my Cosmos V1 cases airflow as I was going to go for a Blower card but I suppose I can change the Case at a later date if its that bad.
