Literally floating over the buy button for 2 x windforce 780's. £389 seems a good price...just hesitating in case prices fall again but cant see it..at least not for a while. Anybody here using the windforce? Opinions?

Got a Windforce here. Very quiet cooler and does a great job. Idles at less than 30C and after a few loops od Unigine Heaven gets to around 65C. In games very rarely gets into the 60's. Got mine to 1267MHz in the core but the memory didnt get very far at all. (Got the A1 revision). Had the 680 Windforce and also the 460 2X one and all I can say is that for all cooling they're very good.

Sounds ideal, will be putting them both under air to replace my 580 sli setup. Not too bothered about overclocking them but want the 2 cards to be as cool as possible. Using a 600t with 4 side fans so should help. Thanks for the reply. .this will be my first outing with gigabyte gpu's so hopefully no issues.
I noticed that the new Gigabyte 780 GHz Edition has dropped £10 in price today..R9 290 launched and only a little slower than the R9 290X, lets see nvidia react to that.
More price cuts I think.

Got my wf3 780 through today. Not tested fully yet but so far on stock volts +70 core (1024 which is boosting to 1176) and 1605 mem (6420). Stable in benches but need to test in game. Got the three free titles to. Asic quality seems pretty good at 82.1%?
MSI GT780 Gaming Edition arrived today Stonking 100% silent card at all loads. Batman Arkham City is finally playable maxxed out DX11+PhysX no stuttering whatsoever its like a different game.

Outstanding! Very quiet, I haven't clocked mine yet but plays everything I have thrown at it beautifully and no stutter with room to spare. (@1920x1080)

I was inquiring about the temps you have experienced so far..idle ..load etc. You have misunderstood my question.

One of the reasons i am changing from a 580 sli setup to a 780 sli is the fan problems with the msi cards..the rattle is driving me slowly mad. Rma it.

It will be Elpida, not particularly good. EVGA (including the classified) and MSI (including the Lightning) are using the stuff at the moment regularly I believe, which is due to shortages of Samsung memory meaning an inflated price they aren't currently willing to pay. It's not exactly fair to ship cards off for review that are handpicked, let alone ones that for review use better brands of components.
Flashed latest drivers and when installing my screen went black, then I got some bsod about service something or other. Reset, installed again and this time the Geforce experience part didn't install. CP does say I'm running the latest drivers but I think I'd like to do a clean install and wipe all drivers.
Is there a specialised and pref free software to do this or just uninstall from Windows and then delete any files I find using search?

Just uninstall from control panel and then when installing do a fresh install and that should work
