GTX 980 / 970 Discussion

Only issue getting it so soon.... no drivers. :(

The box says download from gigabyte or geforce but of course, no drivers actually out yet. Whoops.

So moon landing was real, Nvidia users have one ball way bigger than the other, and prices that aren't too bad imo, I do hope however 980's drop a little so the new TI/titian when released isnt yet another huge price tier .
I think 970's should sell well and are a good mid range option for a lot of users

The overclocks do look nice, even the average reviews are seeing fair gains where they are usually far short of how far the cards can actually be pushed.

The frame rate differences are miniscule when compared to a 780 Ti, The only thing I like is the Dynamic Super Resolution, I do hope they release a 980 Ti.

Pricing

Prices have been shiften all over the place up-to even 12 hours before the launch. The GeForce GTX 970 and 980 seem to be priced fairly overall, and the GTX 770 will see a price drop as well, Effective for launch, the new lineup looks like this:

GTX 980: $549 / 452 EUR (ex VAT)
GTX 970: $329 / 270 EUR (ex VAT)
GTX 760: moves to $219
Please note, that this an MSRP, final E-tail and Retail prices at launch and after launch varies and can be lower, depending on the market conditions etc. There are no other changes to any other products. In addition, please note that GTX 780 Ti, 780 and 770 have been discontinued with this launch.
