***Guide To Redeeming Digital Movies***

I've just tried Getflix as a DNS service and that seems to work on both the PC to give access to the app and on the appletv. Give it a go with the 14 day trial and see how you get on. I've just streamed The Last Jedi in 4K HDR and that works ok on the AppleTV.
Nice, I will give that a go when I’m home. :)

Ah I just re read what I wrote, I did mean July. :) I’ve preordered a code and should get it by the 24th of July to redeem through VUDU, iTunes should be showing it by the 31st of July. :)

Ready player one is available digitally July the 3rd. :)

Whete did you order that code to receive it for the 24th?

Just checked my movies anywhere to see Ready Player One was active and ready to watch, it’ll also port to iTunes around 3-4am UK time. :)

I get most of my codes from hdmoviecodes, they have been really good, seem to have decent stock and have let me change pre-orders to 4k etc without any trouble. They also have a point scheme so can get discounts when you spend x amount

I’ve used them a few times but some of their codes are way overpriced, I got Inception UHD for $6, HDMoviecodes wanted $18 when it was first released.

Hi all,

I've created a Vudu account using the VPN i currently have which is Freedome (I tried setting up MoviesAnywhere last night but it knew I was behind a VPN, will have to try another).

Has anyone tried creating a US Itunes/Apple account recently? I can't seem to get the option on my phone to create a new Apple account and if I try through Itunes it asks for an American phone number to set-up two-factor verification.

Let me know if you have no luck with MA, I’ll try through my NordVPN account.

Haven’t encountered the issue you speak of but it’s been a while since I created an iTunes account for someone. If you have no luck, send me a trust message and I’ll help you out. :)

I've been trying to register with MA today using a number of VPN's, Tunnelbear, NordVPN and My-Private-Network with no success. I even tried Tunnel bear and Nord at the same time as I'd seen someone say to try that. Does anyone have any other ideas?

Send me a trust message and I’ll try it for you, still seems to be working fine for me. :)

Just to update I eventually managed to register with MA. Express VPN worked in the end but I had to try a number of different servers. No luck at all with Tunnelbear of Nord VPN.

Hi all. New to Overclockers, but found this really useful thread and am giving it a go! One hurdle I've just come up against: when using the Google community Clov!s kindly linked to, how do you make a payment? I think Paypal charges a big fee for paying $ in the UK, and I've just tried to pay someone through Google Pay and failed miserably ("Can't send money with this payments profile. The country associated with your profile needs to match the currency that you're sending").

Thanks, and sorry if it's a newbie question!

I normally choose to pay from the bank account rather than my bank card, sending money from the UK into the US normally costs around £1.10 when using your bank and sometimes upwards of £3 when using your card.

I only ever use PayPal. :)

Has anyone managed to associate a credit card with Vudu in order to buy directly from there?

I setup a US Paypal account and added my Revolut card, but something is up with that setup as when I tried to pay on Vudu via that Paypal account it doesn't believe any payment setup is present in Paypal.
I then tried to pay directly with my Revolut card, but got an error with the address/zip code not matching (using an address in New Hampshire which I use for my US iTunes account).

My Revolut card works fine with FandangoNow, it's just Vudu that is giving me hassle.

I thought about using Vudu e-gift cards, but it appears the only place you can buy them is from Walmart.com and I believe that's going to have the same issue where they only accept a card with a US address.

So when you talk about using your bank account rather than your card, you're talking in the context of Paypal? It seems that Paypal is the only way to go, and to buy in bulk so as to keep the fees down. I can't say I fully understand the fees, but it looks like at least £1.99 each time (https://www.paypal.com/uk/webapps/mpp/cross-border-and-conversion-fees).

My VUDU account is using my UK paypal account, no issues buying with it. :)

That's correct, i have my visa debit card linked with my paypal and also my account number and sort code, that way it acts like a direct debit and the charges are not as high. :)

It seems the £1.99 fee has just come in, looking back through old transactions, some were as low as £0.89 fee.

Dang. £1.99 is steep , especially if you're only buying things for a few dollars. I just bought GoT 1-7 for $20 using a linked bank account as you advised (thanks!), and the £1.99 didn't hurt too much because of the saving on the code itself (currently £119.99 on itunes!). So maybe buy in bulk to spread that fee! :)
