Guild Wars 2

i was hoping maybe they did a complete set for like £15 or something...

I got the complete set for £20 for a second account.

My main account was £130 for all the chapters on launch with two CEs, so when they went down to £20 I grabbed a second account.

It was worth it just for the storage, and you can run two accounts at the same time with GW x2 and stash your stuff on the second account.

£30 is very worth it for the complete set, even if its just the trilogy and no EOTN. The game price went up because new players are still buying the game and its still selling well. But they hardly make much profit by selling the whole lot for £30.

You're easily looking at several thousands of hours of gameplay with the complete set if you get stuck into and enjoy the game, my main account is at just under 6000 hours played, and I only played it hardcore for 2 years, then casual for 4.

The storage panes are also half price until tomorrow, I bought a full lot of an extra 4 for my main account.

Wonder would it be possible to get CEs anymore, I have both on my original account but refuse to use it due to wrong email :p /sad git.

No, CEs are long discontinued. The prophecies CE was selling for over £300 on ebay for the last few sealed brand new copies.

Prophecies was the only one I didnt get, so no cool glowy hands for me ever :(

The glowy hands from the first CE were so rare that they became a prestige in the game.

It also came with a decent headset with a mic and full teamspeak software, but who cares about those, the glowy hands is what everyone wanted for their extra £15 lol.

I spotted this, but it seems really dodgy with every site showing exactly 68 units in stock:

I really wouldnt order one.

Does that thing actually work? Always stayed away from trying to get 2 clients at the same time but I could really do with it now. Had a look at a tutorial using hex editor/reg edit version from several years ago but I can't find the reg which was a bit useless.

Just gone and looked for GWx2 now and that won't work either. Just says gw.exe is the wrong size and does nothing.

Just downloaded GW again after a long hiatus, can anyone explain what unded means with relation to minipets? I have a ton of them to sell but everyone seems to be saying ded/unded?

And are the tonics worth anything? I got a 'Gwen' one on my ele, it looks stupid but I'm keeping hold of it for the moment.

Unded minis mean they haven't been used in the Hall of Monuments and once someone puts the Mini pet on their list it becomes Dedicated to that person / character

Unded/Undedicated = A clean pet which hasn't been dedicated in a Hall of Monuments (HoM). These can be dedicated in your own Hall therefore are worth more.

Ded/Dedicated = A dedicated pet that has been used in a HoM, these can still be transfered between players and used in towns and explorables they just have a "Dedicated" text added to their description.

The tonics are brand new for 6th year birthdays which was very recently so they're probably worth a bit but will drop in price as time goes on and more people get them.

GW multi launch wouldnt work for me, on GW x2 does lol.

Strange. Did you check all your MS.Net things were up to date? If you're happy with GWx2 then that's ok though.

Depends what sort of tonic. The 6th year birthday ones are but they'll be dropping fast.

Undedidcated are worth more because people will be buying them to dedicate to there own Hall of Monuments to get some more 'title' points towards GW2.
Dedicated are worth considerably less for the cheap ones because people can't dedicate them again and can only use them for show, which will only matter for the really, really expensive ones.

I'm just in the middle of a massive muling session, taking all the minipets from my 2nd account and putting them on the 1st to dedicate them, then sending them back for storage. I'll take out the duplicated ones and sell/swap them for other ones i need. Think I have about 40 minipets dedicated at the moment.

Also trying to get rid of a ton of junk... seriously four 20/20 Sundering Sword Mods. 1 of the most useless mods in existence that I never bothered to sell when it might've been worth something.

Is it worth buying the storage slot whilst its cheap? I could do with more storage so I'm thinking it's a good idea

Yes, I grabbed all 4 extra storage panes for £14.

A second account is better when the storage panes are full price though.

Well, guild wars is an MMO ... in mission and town outposts only that is :p

In any part of the gameplay, its only 12 people maximum, 8 for the most part, hence an online RPG, with a C added to the start for competitive since it was mainly a PVP focused game.

Yup, otherwise we would have to call Diablo 2 an MMO too, which I think we can all agree isnt the case. :)

GW2 though is a persistent open world and as such is an MMO where of course GW1 wasnt. I think the two of them just had crosswired and were both talking about different titles.
