Guild Wars 2

Why do people like mesmers, I hated them and weren't they the least played :p?

Ummm, no.

They have always been the pwn all class in PVP, and with the recent buffs they have also become the strongest PVE class.

If you dont like mesmers, WoW is that way ---->

Also they are pretty much Anets single most unique and brilliantly original class.

<3 the mesmer!

Anets unique class for one
Also most people didn't like mesmers for PvE because what they do isn't really noticable to the group (like huge DPS) so people tend to think they're useless.

They were the least played I think, atleast for PvE.

The current PVE meta is having a Panic and an Inepitude mesmer in your group, they destroy and shutdown everything.

The thing is that the mesmer is better when controlled by the AI than when controlled by players. Perfect interupts 'eff tee double u' lol.

I'm gonna miss my monk in GW2 though :(

Does anyone know any good Necro builds for PvE? I'm only level 12 at the moment so can't really do much, in Proph campaign and I can't seem to find a decent one probably because I'm not 20 but I can buy tomes :p

Spiteful Spirit, Discord, Aura of the Lich, Flesh Golem, or N/Rt healer are the best PVE builds.

You definitely want to try and have minions, mark of pain, enfeebling blood, and later on a channeling rit hero with splinter weapon. If you are using physical or elemental damage in your group, also add weaken armor.

Spiteful Spirit and Barbs are great on bosses, but not so great on normal mobs because your target will normally die too fast to get much use out of them.

You'll have to wait until end game Prophecies to get the best elites like Aura of the Lich though:

Why dont you have access to your email address?

Try contacting support:

Can I change the email address that I used to register my account?

Log into the game and, on the Character Selection Screen, choose the "Edit Account" option in the lower left. You can change your user name only if your account is not linked to an NCsoft Master Account. The user name must be a valid email address. You are strongly encouraged to use a unique email address for your user name rather than one that is used for daily correspondence, to aid in keeping your game account secure. As a safety measure, change your password regularly and use long and complex passwords.

For special circumstances (such as as an inactive or inaccessible email account), contact support (see also: contacting support).

Minions.

Need shutdowns? No you've got minions. Crowd Control? Minions. DPS? Minions. Tanking? Minions.

If you can get access to some of the better minion skills and Aura of the Lich elite then do so. But really all you need to do in early PvE is get your Death Magic as high as possible and your minions will steamroll everything because of the level difference.

Old email address from absolute yonks ago, even when i try to reset password on it it says it doesn't exist (deleted?). So yeah i've sent them support and going to see if they can link it up to my current NCSoft account (although it already has a GW account on it, can i make two?). Got my Factions+NF cd keys but not prophicies as it wasn't CE. Hope they can sort it out.

For a minion master, try and pump your death magic as high as you can - 16 Death Magic from runes, +1 from AOTL, +2 from Masochism, and try to look for a staff with +1 Death Magic 20%.

Also be on the lookout for Grenth shrines and /kneel for a blessing.

*looks at Masochism* oh, when did that happen?

I just decided to get rid of several +1 (20%) Mastery mods and a Death Magic +1 (20%) mod too :p

Taken several hours of sifting through junk on my account (i'm still doing it...) but i'm now up to 48 minipets dedicated.

The mastery mods are really only needed for minions and spirits + splinter weapon, nothing else really needs them.

I dont use them at all on my heroes, but if your a human player looking for the best stuff is what you want to be doing.

Mesmers need 40/40 sets and Ellys need Enchant and Energy mods.

Well i did intend to give all my Necro heroes +1 Death Magic mods but in the end i just could never be arsed putting together a perfect staff for them. Mostly just stuck on some random green. Quite a lot of my monks have Kephkets Refuge, Jayne's Staff or the Scar Eater and the Necros mostly make do with a random Curses or Blood staff.
