Guild Wars 2

Finally got to 100% critical damage :D

Capture_zps1e1dea8b.jpg

I use Sword/Pistol + Short Bow. Daggers are kinda redundant since I have 300 condition damage and that is from traits.

I die extremely fast if I get focused on in wvw, as my 685 deaths goes to show, but I'm a Thief; I'm supposed to die ;) ... or run away. I tend to stay until death.

If I go unnoticed though, people get obliterated.

So much fun to shadowstep into 3 people, pop haste, down all 3 in one go, then shadow return and switch to short bow and kill them from range (cluster bomb crits for 6k).

Bloody love Thief. So much that I haven't even played another class yet.

Have let my friends make a hunter and a mesmer on my account to test them, they got to level 2 and level 4, so I have seen a bit of how those professions play.

As for sPvP, the 100 blades build is dull but what do you expect, it's a basic build when playing against newbies, it's not a real build. If you fight real enemies in sPvP then a 100 blades build is almost useless and you will have to start using a proper build to fight them.

Care to enlighten me? Ive googled as much as i can and cant find many other builds which are not the same but with different traits. Any help or tips on playing a warrior proffessionally will be greatly appreciated.

Im on a useless server always seems to be losing apart from late at night Gandara, the guild i am in is a guild of friends of friends and they are not very active due to most of them doing a charity climb of kili.

i was really struggling and swapped to pistol/sword.. now i rock and i am very happy where before i got facerolled by nearly everything

I have gone on a short holiday to an American server to play with some American friends in WvW (staying in the Immortals though and not joining another guild, will be back to Desolation after a week or two and still representing even though I'm abroad :D) and must say it's the most amazingly organised WvW I have ever taken part in.

There was this one chap with a commander badge for the server and everyone was listening to him (and I mean everyone). He was pulling all the strings and we were kicking some serious behind. At one point we lost SM to a 2 team zerg but he had us falling back and beefing up the fallback forts, we had so many cannons/trebs/arrows covering the approach to the fort a 50+ zerg was completely wiped out before it even reached the gate :D Swiftly retook SM after that and we were pushing them back for most the rest of the afternoon.

Showed me what an amazing experience WvW will be when it is organised correctly :)

I'd love to play wvw like that one day...

I listen to a few podcasts re GW2 and the WvW guys all talk about their experiances exactly how Newts has posted. Maybe if the Desolation guys (other other servers) are experiencing zerg like mechanics some of the more established/larger guilds need to step up to the plate and organise a bit better.

Are there any alliances or server based websites/tools for the GL's to use to communicate?

Any chance you could share your build :)? I'm enjoying Daggers/Pistols atm, but I don't know that much about the class as I can only play casually.

Mesmer is the weakest class in PvE btw. I leveled my ele with dagger/dagger as the mobs would die before they could really hurt me.

Mesmer good in PvP though. Which I’ve mainly played. Only had the game a week and my PvP rank (10) still more then my highest PvE level :D

The Mesmer looked more fun with all the illusions and those Mesmer kept on killing my ele. I seem able to hold my own as a Mesmer in PvP. Although I admit I’m no expert on GW classes.

Just listened to a podcast which explained the elementist class much more. Sounds rather interesting but none of the builds and skill use they mentioned are obvious to a new player or available from the start.

Quiet thread day, yesterday. The game was a little too. A sign of things on the wane or just settling down? Is there any official source of world activity or concurrency rates?

More likely just the lack of useful content or discussion in this thread, most of it's been discussed to death with the usual ramblings of fanboys on both sides.

Still enjoying the game, still not level 80 characters though - am annoyed at moving server to play with friends who never seem to be bloody online now though!

I've seen some pretty useful stuff in here. I usually filter out the other nonsense that goes on! I'm still surprised that there was not even one post after 16.05 yesterday until mine, this morning.

I only have one real character that I've put any effort into at all really. I just passed level 60 last night and have somehow managed to keep my level in reasonable parity with my personal story, i.e. content not outrageously difficult and not levelled down either, even though I've been having a right old wander around and doing other things in zones all over the place, 100%ing and such.

I wish I had some nice new armour though. I NEVER get a drop that my character can use. I need to make full and proper use of my Celestial dye damn it!

Could you link this please or tell me where I can go and listen to it? I gave up on my ele.
