TP is your friend.

You can pick up Blue armour for coppers, and Masterwork stuff for a few silver at any level.

Then just transmute whatever look you like.

At lowish levels yeah power is a good call. Later on you'll want to start thinking about what other stats you want to buff, depending on your class and playstyle.

I'm a kiting ranger, so i've pretty much ignored vit/healing/toughness, and all my armour boosts are pow/prec/con dmg, basically glass cannon :D

I cripple, bleed, and burn my way through enemies, and hope that my uber damage drops them before they reach me ^_^

Nope, The Siege #9: The Dungeon Delimma, they talk about that for the most part but the last segment about the ele.

Seems loads of good YouTube vids on Guild Wars 2 too. Showing and explaining various builds, going to check some of them out too.
 
How is the game now? I havent played it for a while now. Has the hype died down or do you think people have moved to other games or game *cough* *cough*

I am finding still fairly popular. But you also need to remember hell lot releases over the last month. Fifa/MOP/borderlands ect many times I see people in my guild say they are logging to play newly released games. The best thing about the GW games is they are casual and you can just play when you want as no subscription.
 
It's definitely thinner on the ground but that's to be expected after the launch has died down. WoW releasing the Panda thing has certainly contributed to any downturn imo. The game itself is still well populated and great fun to me though.
 
Was packed pretty much all yesterday running round the Ruins of Orr zones for me. Hit 91% explored last night, just the cursed shore and dungeons to go. Pretty disappointed with the Orr zones so far, should have made the end game in the Norn zones.
 
Yeah, the world doesn't seem empty. Always loads of people in Lion's Arch and while i'm out and about levelling I always come across plenty of other people too, though as you would expect it's quieter than at launch. I'm on Desolation.
 
I was on Desolation...as soon as I moved out of the starting area I hated it , Could barely find anyone to do champions late on in the night.
moved to Gunnars Hold.....much more populated
 
TBH there are a fewer people in one area, as they are now spread over all the zones, rather than just the starting areas.

But everywhere still has plenty of people around.
 
Really enjoying this game at the moment, although I do have one minor complaint. I seem to outlevel the zone events pretty quickly, and now I'm strolling around Kessex Hills at level 17, having visited the level 18 heart quest giver and now the next bit to do is recommended level 20. I've explored the whole zone right up to the level 23 area in Kessex Hills, but can't seem to find anymore events to take part in for the XP. Am I missing something? Have people here been in a similar position? If so, what did you to to move on?
 
Go into other areas. You can even go do other starting areas, there are plenty of lv15-25 zones. In fact right next door to Kessex Hills is Brisban Wildlands another 15-25 area for you to explore.

There are three or four 15-25 areas in the game, go exploring!

Ah cool, I wasn't sure whether that was what you were supposed to do. I was levelling in the Human zone with my friends so was staying around there. I have seen plenty of other areas but thought I'd be able to do everything around Kessex :)
