I just got my Necro to 60, upgraded my gear and went from an underwhelming class I was regularly getting annoyed with to somewhat OP. launch my conditions then lol away :p

Played for a bit last night and got to level 75 on my thief, was about to log and thought i'll just do a bit of crafting with the stuff I collected...ended up level 80 about 10 minutes later lol. Changed my build about a bit and seems a lot more awesome now, just need to get some decent equipment, just got rares at the moment. Jeweller and Leatherworker are about 320 so need to collect some mats to get them up as well.

Can't seem to build up any enthusiasm to play GW2. Have had it since release day, but I've only played for a total of about 3 hours since. The fact I'm enjoying playing WoW again hasn't helped its chances.

Good thing it's free to play ;)

I nip on for a half hour every so often, main is up to level 77 and I can't believe how fast the past 10 levels have gone by.

Not got a huge amount of time to play any games just now or I think I'd be bored out of my skull with GW2.

Loads of my mates have stopped playing it as apparently when you hit 80 there's nothing to do. All of the have gone back to LoL (surprise surprise).

I think cap is lacking unless you are a pvp whore (like me) I think the game is a lot more casual than the wow model approach and a few people prefer the pve daily grind.

Personally I decking love it but I can understand why people aren't fans, this game is me until next gen hits taking on board the gw2 lessons. Best thing is this game changed the wow standard approach. Overall great genre mover.

There is always WvW, which was a large focus of the game. People who are not big PvPers were always expected to leave GW2. I admit WvW has it's issues, specifically server balance, but still, just like DAoC it is the PvP that makes the game great even with a lack of real endgame PvE.

Indeed....im putting the game on hold for a bit to go back to WoW...(something I never thought I would say after quitting over a year ago), just because at 80 I dont feel there is a good bit of PVE to get stuck into.

As a person who isnt into PvP the game isnt for me.

Its an amazingly beutiful game and the questing experience is top notch.

But dungeons are horrible everyone constantly dieing and I like being able to get a group of guildies together and RAID.

The gear I needed for my Guardian to be a healer/support spec was basically all the gear from Twighlight Abor.....must have run it 100 times to get tokens and I was sick of it.

I was getting the itch to ty wow so went to my mates who is still playing. I really couldn't get back into it :p it's so ugly and stodgy after coming back from gw2. I do miss the raiding and pve element but I enjoy the pvp so much im more than happy.

Yeah if you're a PvP'er then GW2 will keep you happy for ages.

The new Areas in WoW on maxxed out settings with DX11 dont look bad by any means though...it actually looks quite good.

If they also had 100% map completion and didn't want to PvP they might have a point...

But if theyre league of legends players why wouldn't they want to PvP?

Feel the same, I always drifted to PvP in WoW at end game in the main anyway. Now I look at WoW as something I can sub for one month once or twice an expansion, cap out and then see all the PvE content via the LFR. The PvP is so bad having played GW2 its ridiculous, Pokéwow whilst fun is just another grind dressing to keep you subbed and the idea of having to do dailies again makes me vomit.

I still enjoy WoW's art style but with GW2 there is finally a MMO that matches WoW's animations.

PvE in GW2 was never going to be on the same level as real MMo's, surely people who bought the game did some research into this fact it's more aimed at PvP orientated players ?

it would be like buying Lotro purely for PvP, pointless :p

Well it wasnt pointless.....I felt like I got my £50 worth, just for the leveling and story and some of the dungeon runs for gear.

Just in terms of a game that will give me longetivity, it isnt that.

Bonus of it being sub free, I can come back at anytime to see what features they add in.
