Utter utter rubbish 3 of did this twice, the 2 who swapped got gear both times, Dist, who used the same toon also had the chest open, so you the one lying now, so please give it a rest.
There were loads of others who got the loot twice by swapping, then joining a new overflow.

I found the event to be very repetitive, got fed up halfway into it, the only thing that kept me going was the reward at the end. Really hate the way the vet and champion karkas seemed to magically regain full hp, was that a bug or was it a intended mechanic?
Overall the free content has been very good, i really like the new dungeon. I hope Anet produce more content like this.

I'm not lying at all actually. I highly doubt the guy who used the same toon had it open twice, because everyone in my guild did it twice and the chest was already open 2nd time. Go check the official forums as well. It definitely does not open twice with same toon.
People said the same thing on the forums with the halloween event that they got the chest loot twice and someone from ANET basically rubbished it and said that the chest was locked to 1 opening per 24hr period.

well did the new event tonight and had abit of a laugh .. wasnt to laggy but was abit chaotic .
No items that were much use to me but the 20 slot bag and trinket are nice .
Grouped up with a few mates and asked them to drag me around a higher lvl area so i could quickly get to 60 and get my new book/gear and we all got banned !!
We have all submitted tickets but we have no idea whats going on . the reason given on all our accounts was botting which none of us do .
Below is the screen i get when i try and login . Not amused at all !!
No items that were much use to me but the 20 slot bag and trinket are nice .
Grouped up with a few mates and asked them to drag me around a higher lvl area so i could quickly get to 60 and get my new book/gear and we all got banned !!

Thought the finale dragged on a big myself but other than that it was pretty good, great loot at the end which made the 2 hour slog worth it in the end.
The accessory item will probably be best in slot for some time until ascendant loot becomes the norm.

that event went on for far too long, i probably wouldn't have cared if i could see the karka before they were right on top of me but it was just a death/rez cycle for 2 and half hours

It was an epic event and the loot you received at the end signified that!
20 slot bag worth 10g+ for everyone. Triforge-esque trinket worth a ton for everyone. Plus exotics and rares galore and a good chance of getting a precursor.
Worthy of a 2.5hr fight tbh.

That seems to be the name of the game with GW2 PvE...which is one of the main reasons I stopped playing it.

It's a different thing all togeather with the new fractal dungeon which is great fun, easily the best dungeon design ive tried in ages, and the fact its endless just makes it better.
I hope that ArenaNET release some sort of table system so we can see who are the best on the server or in the world

Thats what I said Dist who did it on the same toon, found the chest open and could not loot, the people who swapped toons/overflows got the loot twice!
First you come on here calling people liars, then you don't even follow the conversation, I never said Dist got the loot, I said he found the chest to be open, which means no loot!!

Sorry for being stupid but how is swapping toons/chars allowing you to loot twice? in theory yes u can but each loot is bounded to the specific character not all characters you have
The people who were in overflows that managed to defeat the event a little quicker than most we're able to then switch characters which when logged back in placed them in another overflow, one which hadn't completed the event yet. So they were able to kill the ancient karka again on a second character and get loot for that character.
Nemeses and a few other guildies did exactly this, they completed the event on their overflow, changed characters, and then joined my overflow server which had not finished and got the kill a second time (on a differant character ofc).
