Well yes it gives a very small upgrade on stats...but they make a negligible difference.

Well ive done all the dungeons and did Fractals up to about lvl 7 or 8 before I got bored of doing the same places over and over with randoms.

Its just my feeling towards the game....im not slating it....im just giving the impression I get when playing it.

I guess I just like large group RAIDs where you work together to down a boss....I dont feel that with GW2 is all.....guess its just personal preferences.

Plus the lack of a bad guy or someone to work towards getting stronger to kill.

Small upgrade? The stat difference is actually quite large between exotic accessories and ascended, it makes a noticeable difference if you get all the ascended accessories.

The game is far from perfect I agree but what MMO is? Even WoW went down the pan with the 2 latest expansions.

I'm sure if you're a self appointed mmo expert then you could probably find things you didn't like. The only other mmo I have played was swtor, never been interested in mmo's much to be honest, but I have genuinely enjoyed my time so far.

No MMO is at the moment and yes Wow did go down the pan......in fact GW2 is the only one im playing on and off.

I just want a little more from it than it gives me is all...

Im not slating it....just giving my persoanl gripes towards it....but still think its a good game in its own right.

Understood, on release I got bored pretty quickly too, the updates have improved it a lot and hopefully an expansion next year.

Yeah thats why I keep playing because of the constant updates.

Hopefully an expansion may add some features that a lot of people want.

got this a couple of weeks ago (i know a little bit late) and im enjoying it so far im only level 40 ish though, not into pvp or WvW i would rather play a FPS for that. Think i will get to 80 then play when new content comes out.

dont know really what put me off , well , i found the story/talking to npcs abit fairytale and kidish, and just got bored playing on my own i guess another mmo where you dont need to talk to ppl in order to do things, i liked legend of mir or orginal wow , where if you had to work as a team to even get the smallist reward . what made me quit wow as they made everything to easy and kidish

i havnt played this since launc but going to give it another bash lol. i am going to re-roll to an eleamentalist for a change as i previos toon was a warrior and i find them pretty boaring now lol

I'd recommend Ele, Mesmer or Thief if you're just starting or re-rolling.

I've hated levelling cloth classes. Leveling heavy's is much easier.
Ele with crit chance/dmg and Lightening Hammer is epic for leveling. Blinds and high DPS!

I think the game got boring for most of us because of the lack of holy trinity, everything is just a nuke fest.

I couldn't give a **** about ascended gear, there is no endgame to make use of it anyway, its just epeen gear.

I agree there is no end game. They are churning out a lot of content however there is nothing like GW1 in terms of Elite Missions (UW and FoW type areas).

TBH though there are far too many WoW clones, we don't need another.

I was only really let down by WvWvW, I was hoping for something close to Dark Age of Camelot's RvR but it's just nowhere near as good.

Partly down to the carbon copy classes on each side though, but the mechanics of the game just don't play out as well. PvE was fun but like a few have said, the end game is pretty pointless, despite looking rather splendid

I wish they'd fix the damn camera system. Since day one doing anything like a jumping puzzle on my huge Norn warrior is nigh on impossible.

I'm still enjoying it, though I rarely play due to be away with work. Love picking it up and just enjoying myself.

I must admit I do agree to an extent that endgame is a bit lacking. I find myself cycling through the events to save gold and karma to use on alts, not particularly sure what I would do when I level all the classes I want to.

World bosses are good but due to their pick up nature the tactics need to he Zerg or they would be unplayable. Lack of trinity is an interesting experiment, some aspects have worked others not so much. I think large group tailored content would help but scaling that will be hard to implement.

The biggest failing for me is the lack of the need for a guild. In WoW (the inevitable comparison I know) I logged in genuinely enjoyed the company of my Guildies and relied/wanted to play with them to clear content. Due to the casual nature of play after being in a guild for four month I couldn't even name another character off hand and certainly haven't built the relationships that I did during WoW. Guild missions could have been good but just found them a bit meh. Doesn't help the interface is still a bit clunky and organising anything in a guild seems a blinking chore.

All said and done though I still really enjoy it and will keep playing

I reached level 80 today with my Norn warrior. I just bought the last training manual and have no idea what build to make. Any suggestions?

Preferably PvE, with a little WvW. Don't mind what weapons as long as I do nice damage and have half decent protection.

Check the official forums, there'll be a lot of different builds you can choose from.
