hahaha so many damn chris's i suppose its not our fault we where blessed with sucah a awesometastic name...
I was using the latest BETA drivers for last nights stress test (304.79) and was having no problems with my SLI 480's. With vsync off I was at 120ish fps in the Sylvari start area but I turned it on as it was getting abit warm in my room
Also I was playing in fullscreen for first hour but switched to borderless window there after as I find it easier while having two monitors and there was no difference in performance.
Cards were showing SLI was being used but I read in some notes that they suggested turning it off but I left it on anyway.

Just wondering if any of you guys could give me an idea what sort of graphics I should expect with this set up?

8GB Ram
XFX 6950 2GB unlocked shaders
I'd hope this would be enough to play maxed out? Any got a similar set u that has played the betas?

im certainly not bitching and i havent said anyone is in the wrong just dont really see the point of filling this thread of mindless bickering,and in all fairness not that i would pick a side but i havent really read whats going on but from what i have seen someone helped someone someone didnt like it and is now randomly bitching about it even writing this it makes whats happening in here seem very stupid =playground) = someone who is bored and anal and personally im not intrested in having to read pointless poo posts about someone trying to have a bigger penis than the other.

Got 8GB RAM and a 6950 2GB, but I'm a bit worried about my old Q9550. It's still at stock but might need to up it to 3.4/3.6 for this. Anybody run this on something similar?

On the plus side we must have over 50 players in the guild from ocuk now for GW2, about 25/30 of them new ones, funny that so many of the old ones wants to remain in the guild

Woot.
It's nothing exciting for most people, but they covered a lot of pvp, builds, theorycrafting etc in WoW. It's something that i enjoyed reading and also helped me out a fair bit.

Should be able to max it no problems, i had a solid 60fps on high settings and vsync on with a I5 3570k @ stock with a 5770 1GB.
No chance of maxing it. Even top end systems cannot MAX GW2 at any respectable resolution, will grind to a halt in busy areas.
Suppose you are right, high settings is just as good as ultra though in my opinion. So if he can settle for high + settings then all is good. He has a better graphics card than me, so can only estimate what type of performance he will get with that.
