Guild Wars 2

Really looking forward to this, after getting fed up with 'that' other MMO a while back.

Didn't play GW1, and still don't know what profession or race I'm going for.
 
Looking forward to playing a character that I know won't get wiped.

What is possible start time were looking at? 5AM onwards? I need to get on to reserve my names.

I'm glad it kicks off at 8am on Saturday. I'm out most of the day & night as its my friend's birthday and I promised her. At least it means I can get on Desolation and create my Necro & Thief.

Then log on when I get back in and start the lvling:)

Yeah it seems that way. A lot of people think it is a bit under powered.

That doesn't bother me in the slightest as class balancing is an ongoing aspect of MMOs, and I would rather be a toon getting a buff than a nerf.

having thought about this I agree except when Age of conan launched and I was one of those guys with all the pet mobs.........awfully weak until 3 months of patches lol.

Wow.

Sounds epic.

How was the first one? Are servers well populated? Is it consistently updated with new content?

Would you advise buying this on launch or waiting for patches?

Also, where's best to buy from?
 
I think you will find that as time progresses the necro and any other class which relies heavily on conditions and condition removal will become exceptionally strong in PvP and PvE, I know a friend of mine is going necro regardless because he likes the ranged dot style caster.

He played a warlock in WoW from vanilla that was affliction spec from the get go.
 
Oh my class picking indecisiveness diesease is in full effect. Guardian looked cool, then I saw a thief gameplay vid and I got all excited for that, then a ranger vid.... aargh

Not played any of the beta, so no idea how they actually feel so I thnk I will end up making lots of characters, playing a few levels and then make the wrong decision on who to take to cap :)
 
Just been having a look around and nowhere seems to be shipping until launch day... how do i go about getting early access for Saturday?
 
I'm going Thief for definite. Probably Human but Sylvari may be cool if i can get past the proper Fem environments.

I was going to do that too, but .. what if they think well everyone is going to be hammering the servers at 5am so decide to bring them on at 4am ... ;) lol where do you stop!


I still cannot decide on my class, but from what I read the total time to level to cap wont be as long as others games so It wont be long before Im rolling another.
