Guild Wars 2

What is up with all low level blue items in this game looking exactly the same? Or being one of about 3 skins? That's just incredibly lazy. Every other major MMO I have played has at least introduced some variation in the trash/lowbie loot-- even if it still looks terrible. I've gone through about 4 Shortbows in as many levels... and they all look the exact same. Pretty bad.
 
What is really weird is I can log in fine on my PC, my laptop gets the firewall message as does my housemates PC.

But i've logged in 5 times in the last 2 minutes fine on PC lol - and also transferred to Desolation! :)
 
These connection problems are going a little beyond "oh it's release day of an MMO".

They've had years to prepare for this.

Transmutation stones + a hell of a lot of awesome looking dungeon / pvp / cultural gear.

And this is why i posted and suggested we dont use desolation but to use a less populated server.

u see, i did tell others that once its full u cannot choose it as your home server. This was evident during the beta!!

So, if you did not roll your char on saturday, you are going to find it impossible to roll on desolation now im afraid. i woke up early just to roll a char in that server.

You can choose it as a server, just not when it's full. So do it earlier in the day or late at night.

That's just error 42, everyone gets it when the log in servers are swamped. You're fine it's just luck of the draw at the moment.

Pretty sure this is zone dependent - there is one generic set of gear and then e.g. the human zone will have krytan weapons, charr will have flame, sylvari will have those weird leaf swords etc.

Blues are typically junk skins though, they're like the wow equivalent of greens. Check the karma vends, a lot of those guys have unique skins.
